I'm just happy it'd finally going down. Can't say I respect him more though. That would be like giving someone credit for something that they were SUPPOSED to do!
Yeah, I give Floyd a little respect. He could have kept ducking. Manny could have kept refusing to test no later than 24 days before the fight. Both have been at fault for this and Pac-tards need to admit that not only to the fans, but to themselves. lol
I wouldn't really go gonzo over a Manny victory either. It's just flat out hard to care.
5 years is a lifetime in boxing and a lot has happened, both look like they would lose to their former selves. It feels like that album Guns n Roses took 15 years on.
This is exactly how I feel, I just want the May-Pac era over with. They spoiled it with their bullshit.
Personally, I'm more looking forward Kovalev-Pascal and Matthysse-Provodnikov.
When looking back in history, most people don't look at age or timing in a fighters career. So whoever wins this fight, most people years from now will regard the winner as the best of the two.
Welp, hard predicament for Floyd regardless if he wins or loses in your eyes. If he wins, meh.. it would have been a different story 5 years ago when the fight mattered. However, what if Manny beats him? Of course Pacquiao would get all the praise in the world and Floyd would be mocked till death.
He did it to himself, the fight was on the table for a full 5 or 6 years.
If Pacquiao wins, Floyd will get mocked but that's because he calls himself TBE, but in reality, Pacquaio will have beaten a past prime version of Floyd too but Pac would have fought him years ago, and that's the difference.
Floyd is older and has physically declined just as much as pac, if not more.
I know, but he was the one with the power to make this fight years ago and he waited until now.
no, i have always respected mayweather and it has been evident for a long time that he wanted this fight. it's no coincidence that it suddenly gets made as soon as floyd looks vulnerable for the first time in his career - if anyone is cherry-picking anyone, it's manny cherry-picking an old floyd.
:lol1: Manny is cherrypicking Floyd? :lol1: Damn... :lol1:

No, it fits perfectly in his pattern. He feels the time is right for him to fight Manny, it's safe now so to speak, rather than when the time was really right for everyone else.
You don't get credit for doing what you're supposed to do only five years later.

Can anyone else see these double standards?
I'm a fan of both fighters equally but the same way you view Floyd is exactly the same way a Flowmo views Pacquiao. Crazy, you two fanbases hate each other so much yet think exactly alike in regards to your most favorite/hated fighters.
Didn't mean to single you out but your post was a perfect example.

Don't care. It's just too little too late. No matter what happens people will talk about what would have happened if they did it years earlier. Manny isn't nearly as big of a deal now.
