If you had to choose which fight will have be more of a mega fight which one would you choose?
I really love both of these fights. Both are the old lion vs the young lion type fights. I think Klitschko-Wilder ends more shockingly and produces more drama. I think the Heavyweight fight is more of a mega fight because of the deep storied history of the division but the Mexican vs Puerto Rican rivalry is one of a kind.
I'd say Wilder Wlad simply because it's heavyweight and it'd have the media and casuals behind it. But for the Purists it'd be Cotto Canelo.
^^^^^^This
Canelo has fought 3 good opponents while Wilder has fought 2. Experience gap isn't that wide
The experience between Klitschko and Wilder I meant.
Why would I compare Canelo and Wilder for experience?

This. A heavyweight unification to produce the first undisputed champ in what 15 years? That's a lot bigger and can be promoted to be a massive event. Cotto-Canelo is a good even fight and appeals to a specific audience but the fight won't be as explosive and doesn't have the same intrigue IMO. The HW fight could end explosively at any time and we either finally have Wlad as undisputed or a new American star is born...
With Cotto or Canelo, either Cotto proves he is still a fighter near the top of the game and is underrated as a top p4p fighter...or Canelo gets a bit more hype in the early stages of his career and has a great name for his early resume.
Cotto v Canelo won't be relevant for much longer though, while Wlad-Wilder can simmer into something bigger...so i'd rather see the Cotto-Canelo fight first if possible. Doesn't look like it will happen though...
Casual fans still don't have much of a clue of who Wilder is...he needs to win vs. some more big-name heavyweights to build up his own hype.
Canelo/Cotto is clearly the bigger fight, it would easily sell out some of the biggest venues in America. Klitscko/Wilder? not so much
Not many people had heard of Froch or Groves besides sports fans over here and their fight captured the publics imagination. I know it's different but sometimes all the fight needs is hype and two guys that can sell it.
Wilder can definitely generate hype because he would be seen as a proper heavyweight and not some fat hugger like what the publics perception of heavyweight boxing is today.
Wilder vs Klitschko would bring so many casual american fans out. Those who have been waiting for an American HW to champion

Trout, Mayweather and Lara are all better wins than Stiverne, let alone Malik Scott.
I think Canelo-Cotto is bigger because most people still don't know who Wilder is. If they keep building Wilder up, that fight would be bigger worldwide. Heavyweights are generally a bigger deal
Canelo/Cotto is a more even fight
Klitchko/Wilder there is a massive experience gap

Right now, Cotto/Canelo is the bigger fight. Wilder needs to start stringing together some defenses against good names, than the fight with Klitschko will be huge.
