Have you lost your mind? How often do promoters request Olympic style testing??? This is something the fighters do. Promoters stay out of that unless it's a request from their fighter. One of the dumbest things I've heard all day, man, and I meant that with the utmost respect. Seriously wtf are you thinking? Does Oscar de la hoya demand Olympic style testing every time he makes a fight for Canelo, et al? Does Top Rank demand Olympic style testing with all their fighters? Does Lou DiBella? Does Gary Shaw? No promoter does this, again, unless a specific fighter is asking for it. It's not their job or priority. Making the fight & promoting is. It would be on the personal fighter/manager, not the promoter. Read the tweets, Kathy specifically stated she has the right to pick the protocol since her fighter is the champion. Now maybe you are correct here, but Kathy clearly has a different opinion. Which has been the basis of my argument. Duva maybe just tweeted that trying to win the pr war. So if it's not the case, you need to tell her. Why didn't she ask kovalev in advance, especially since, as some are pointing out, memo is involved? She knows damn well she'd have to pay for it I if her fighter requests it. What she does in every fight or another promotion does isn't the issue.

Duva & kovalev could've just done a Hopkins and stick that middle finger to pascal's face for making out of the contract demands and it would be just fine...instead they called pascal's bluff and are willing to do vada testing. Take Usada for example, very expensive and hasnt prevented a singke cheat from entering the ring. Not surprising for a PR stunt. The regular commission urine test has nabbed many cheats otoh, for example 3-4 from the TMT promotion.

Fighters just started using USADA and/or VADA testing, you really don't need it with certain athletic commissions. Even if they aren't as stringent a comment that this fight has no PED testing is false. Of course there will be testing from the Province X of Canada. Maybe Canada has federal testing for boxing, I have no clue but there will be testing for that fight. We're arguing over more stringent testing if that's really even possible from what is currently offered. For example, Nevada's testing is pretty strong now, they aren't playing games anymore if a fight took place there and no VADA testing took place I wouldn't think any guy was doping. The testing just changed this past year so that DQ's JMM from the conversation by the way. Anyway, people are getting tested so I'm not sure why blame is so important. If Kovalev's team don't care about testing then why do they care which agency does it. If they do care about which agency does it, then why aren't they paying for it themselves? If they really want to call Pascal's bluff, then offer to pay for the cheaper VADA for both fighters.
