If you could choose a total of three sparring partners for Floyd and Pacquiao who are most capable of emulating the styles of their respective counterpart, who would they be and why?
They can be active or retired, past or present, in or around the welterweight division.
For example:
Floyd's line-up
A) Demarcus Corley
B) Pernell Whitaker
C) Marvin Hagler
Pacquiao's line-up
A) James Toney at middleweight
B) Sugar Ray Leonard
C) Chris Algieri uncaged
**** the past or present thing, im going realistic.
floyd should get judah for obvious reasons, they used to be friends and from what i heard they are cool again. zabs speed, explosiveness, mobility and southpaw stance would make for good work. not to mention simply sparring a fighter of his caliber is a rare opportunity. former world champions very seldom help fighters prepare for fights, the quality alone makes him a great choice.
collazo would make great work too, but i doubt they could get him. he sparred with errol spence before, unlike pacquiao stylistically but a southpaw and very good. simply great work, in fact didnt floyd say he got some of the best work in 10 years sparring with spence? if so it would be foolish not to bring him back.
hank lundy would be good for pacquaio imo, good but attainable. athletic and awkward fighter. vernon paris wuld be good work imo, very attanable and a bit of a mayweather wannabe in a sense. emmanuel taylor too perhaps, not all that much like floyd but a fast, solid fighter. could be good for when floyd tries to walk him down too (which he will at some stage).
Naw guys, floyd needs some lighting rod salka,to replicate mannys style. And manny needs some featherfist paulie, since he hits just about as hard as floyd.
