I dont know about other cotto fans... but I want cotto in there with a legit MW. No bradley. As much as that fight would catch my attention, I am not interested in that fight. Lee, Quillin, or GGG or he can vacate and go back down to 154 lbs.

Cotto would need to come in better conditioned than we're used to seeing and he'll have to get dirty to win this. It's not gonna be easy for Lara regardless, Lara is good at what he does but it's not like his style is all that complex, it isn't.

Cotto beats Lara clearly, he is not slow of foot like Angulo or Canelo (both of whom I narrowly had up on the cards).

Lara doesn't deserve another big money fight. He'll run from Cotto all night.

If this fight happens that meens we will get Lara vs Golovkin after....that would be an interesting fight due to Lara's defensive style.

We all want what we can't get. If Cotto backed out of fighting Canelo what makes you think he would fight Lara? Lara is very hard to beat and he wouldn't make Cotto near as much money as Canelo would. Just give your man Lara a fantasy fight win over Cotto because Cotto will never fight Lara.

It looks this way Mayweather vs Pacquiao is finally going to happen, now what for Cotto? At first, I thought of Daniel Geale as an opponent, but I don't think it will sell, so now I prefer Erislandy Lara vs Miguel Cotto, which makes more sense. Cotto vs TBA, at Madison Square Garden, Puerto Rican Day weekend. Lara makes for a **** fight, and that hasn't changed at all; just look back to the Ishe Smith fight. To that, you can also add that Lara is unlikely to take short money for the shot. A guy like Jorge Heiland, positioned pretty well within the governing bodies but not really a world-level contender, would make a lot more sense.
