that was a horrible fight.
rios is still the same.
its his opposition that's different.
it sux to watch a boxer who doesnt even wanna be there get beat up like that.
although it wouldve been a stupid fight even if alvarado did fight back, its a match waiting for brain damage to happen.......
Not surprising the Brits have been duped by Audley and David Haye for years
Not surprising you actually believed it.
The HBO broadcast began at 9:45 p.m. local time, which means it was the middle of the night in the UK.
Luckily for the good of boxing I am
It was on boxnation- monthly subscription for 20 bucks
i streamed online hahahahaha.
Rios was in better shape, showed more head movement and used jab and decent footwork. I thought he showed great improvement since their last fight and looking forward to seeing him against a decent opponent.
yeah but... how hard is it to do what he did (given his level of profession) against someone who earmuffed and threw nothing back :/...
To the op:
Yes it was effing awful. Mile high mike looked beyond bad, they said he showed up much later than Rios; probably busy smoking meth. He looked hurt by every shot, didn't throw anything back. I don't blame Rios tho he definitely showed up prepared.
yes, to clarify things, i DO NOT BLAME RIOS either.
its just such a ****ty pointless fight...
Alvarado hardly threw a punch. What else can be said?
horri**** >_>
Just like Marquez/Vazquez 4....one fight too many. No reason for this fight to have happened.
top rank and their trilogy games.
nobdoy even wanted to see this **** and they tried to sell us this.
It was horrible. Actually, the rubber match idea was terrible given their recent performances and Alvarado's issues.
it was the perfect idea. the 3rd fight was designed too rejuvenate the career of the winner in a fight of the year candidate.
it didn't live up too the fight of the year hype, because Alvarado didn't prepare.
but it served its purpose of reviving the winner.
now rios is gonna get a better fight with possibly marquez or bradley
It was ppv in uk. Early indications suggest it Did almost 100,000 homes here.
:lol1: :lol1:

The fight was anticlimactic for sure. Rios came well prepared and as a result had an easy fight against an unmotivated foe - Rios deserves credit for that.
Also, I detected something off from Mike during the prefight interview with Lampley - to me it looked like was high on kind of drug

THAT WAS ****ING PPV?
ARE U JOKING ME???????
no damn way.... noooooo way..................................................................
are they that desperately reminiscing gatti ward trilogies......
arum gotta stop playing dumb trilogy games.
It wasn't a PPV. This was a Boxing After Dark telecast.
It was a circus...both these guys are crap it's just that Alvarado is now at an all time low of crapness...I mean totally washed up to the point where people think Rios was good. Arum is a magician to have made a PPV of it. I had no interest or exceptions of this fight.

It wasn't a horrible fight, yes it was one sided but it was still fun imo. I liked the action and the beating.
