I didn't see one and since Brush seems to think he's the new Master Thread guy around here, I'll show him how it's done.
Who do you have tonight in the battle to stay relevant? The hometown felon who just got arrested during camp or the self admitted lazy fighter who squandered away what seemed to be so much natural fire.
I'll take Alvarado to outbox a very sluggish Rios with the crowd behind him fueling him to a victory.

Talk about a ****ty fight. All this bravado talk and Mike decided to stay on his stool. You can tell he didn't train. Dude barely throw any damn punches. I was expecting a way better fight than that.
Anyone know what kind of gloves Alvarado was using? I couldn't make out the brand
It was Everlasts. The text was just black making it hard to see on TV, you really only saw the small white Everlast logo.

Some postfight talk from @trboxing and @ZanferBox about maybe a JM Marquez-Rios fight in LA this summer. Good fight. #boxing #AlvaradoRios— Dan Rafael (@danrafaelespn) January 25, 2015
I've been wanting this fight for four years. Why would Marquez agree to it now? He wants a belt and Rios isn't a titlist.

Wtf did I just watch?
It looked like Alvarado smoked a blunt before he walked to the ring and by the time Rios knocked the high out of him, it was too late.
I want to give some props to Alvarado. He did NOT want to get up after that knockdown, but for his pride and for the fans, he got up and tried to make something happen. That's how you do it, God damn it.
Rios looked better. Still a little slow in his movements and not a lot of pop in his jab, but when he hit the gas he was relentless. Still a few solid performances left in him.
lol, yeah he came into a fight without training, got punched in the face for 3 rounds and then lied in his corner to get them to stop it. Let's give props to a drugged up loser that is a reason boxing has less respectability then Pro Wrestling. If he had any pride at all he would stop being a complete F up and disappointment to his family, not to even mention taking money in a prize fight he didn't even try to win.
Im gonna be honest here and probably take sh*t for it, but I call b/s on Mike saying he saw four fingers. I think he just wanted out.
Of course he did, he didn't train a day and just got beat for 9 minutes to take a paycheck, should have just dove on the first hard Rios punch. Boxing off to another joke start for 2015. The sport is freaking done.
What a joke fight. Between this and the Hendo stoppage fighting sports hit an all time low tonight. Hopefully Manny would love to use Rios like a punching bag again. If Alvarado trained a day for this fight I would be shocked. HBO was trying to use this as their Gatti V Ward for the new decade and what a fail (unless crack head Alvarado goes home and kills a family member or something). Stuff like this is why boxing is a dead ass sport.
Rios looked like he turn back the clock 5 years. That kind of reformation doesn't typically happen on its own. Not just talking about him winning, he looked a lot thinner than he ever has and he ALWAYS has trouble making weight. He looked like a man on fire with tons of stamina to spare, he looked faster than I have ever seen him look and he looked stronger than I have ever seen him look. People don't normally pull a 180 without some "assistance"...maybe not but it looked out of the norm to me.
Everybody saying ng this but fact is, miMike didn't do sh^t but stand there. No feet movement no nothing.
Anybody can look good hitting a punching bag. That's why usually everybody looks good in the gym
Rios was hitting him with everything but the kitchen sink, so he might've been punch-drunk. His team/family really need to sit down and have a heart-to-heart, because that performance was....:nonono:
I'm telling you, give it a couple weeks tops and he will get arrested again. He is likely going to need some help from his friends and family to pull it together.
He did slur his words a few times in that interview, like others have said, he may have been drunk or coming down from his pre-fight high.

Alvarado is actually saying he's not done.....dude must be fucking retarded. He was literally a punching bag out there; how is he not finished???

It's easy to have amazing stamina when the other guy is just struggling to stand up and the fight ends in a few rounds.
I didn't see PEDs I saw a shot opponent.
Same forehead to forehead, uppercuts Rios style as always.
Alvarado was definitely shot but a shot fighter doesn't make the other fighter come in with 5-8% less body fat than they normally do. Maybe it was just the fact that Mile High was a mile high doe.
