Best fights for Kell Brook in 2015?

First off, Brook has said he will take care of the IBF mandatory Jo Jo Dan, afterwards he will seek out the bigger and better fights. Obviously Amir Khan is a choice as it would do great numbers and be a good money fight in England. Who else would you line up for Kell Brook to solidfy himself as a top fighter today who deserves to call himself champion among Mayweather and Pacquiao in the Welterweight division? So if you were guiding Brook's career who would you line him up with? After his mandatory I would say someone like Keith Thurman is the perfect fight. Two guys with skill still proving themselves, despite good wins they both need big name top level fighters on their resume, also them being undefeated is a good mark on their records. Aside from rising One Time Thurman, there are the ex-champions Bradley and Maidana. A rugged boxer in Bradley and a true slugger in Maidana, both top notch in their respective styles.

if im hearn im putting brook in with khan next. if khan keeps ducking then im looking at the Thurman/guerrero winner next or marcos maidana then its time too unify with pac or floyd

After losing to Pac at super FW, MAB fought 25-19-0 Sammy Ventura and 1-7-1 Freudis Rojas (won by DQ). If he was ranked at no.1 for the WBO belt then it was blatant corruption to make it look like Khan had a legit opponent That's fine - I am not getting into the validity of the ranking. Barerra was fed to Khan to bring his career back onto the stage after losing to Prescott.

WBO rankings. No1 in the WBO rankings? At what weight? Stop speaking sh1t. He was fighting bums at the time and completely off the radar. Finished at the top level. It was just a name for Khan's resume. Marquez has been fighting champions or former champions. It's a legit fight for Brook and a win would make him a bigger name globally.

Khan isn't fighting Brook until Mayweather and Pacquiao are out of the picture, so we can sideline that one. I'd like to see him in there with Marquez at this point. He brings a wealth of experience and craft, he's still competing at a high level dispite being in the wane, and he's the biggest name in terms of realistic opponents. It's a good fight for Kell that would allow him to acclimatise to fighting at the top level.

Most people have Marquez in their top 10 pound-for-pound fighters currently. I doubt Barrera would have been in most people's top 100 when he fought Khan. The comparison doesn't make sense and is just very lazy probably based on the fact that they're both Mexican. That would be typical of you. Barrera was ranked No1. at the time the fight was made. Khan was ranked No5.

Most people would accept that the Barrera fight was made to give Khan some credibility points after Prescott. And most people would agree that Marquez is well past prime and finds 147 hard to make naturally. But Diggles is not 'most people' - he is a morally and intellectually superior being to us mere mortals. Most people have Marquez in their top 10 pound-for-pound fighters currently. What does that even mean? Khan was a prospect at the time. Literally not saying anything there. Marquez's last 3 fights have been a KO over Pacquiao, a close disputed loss to Tim Bradley and a dominating win over Mike Alvarado. He's still operating at a good level and is still a huge name. Barrera was not fighting anywhere near that level when he fought Khan. Pretty dumb comparison. Most people would accept that the Barrera fight was made to give Khan some credibility points after Prescott. Forgetting Khan for now. In ranking of the most credible & realistic this imo: 1. Bradley 2. Maidana 3. JMM 4. Thurman 5. Guerrero / Rios / Alvarado In order of risk vs Reward: 1. JMM 2. Maidana 3. Guerrero / Rios / Alvarado 4. Bradley (probs most open to debate, just not sure how much he'd make and Bradley is always a tough proposition) 5. Thurman

Maidana in the UK could be interesting - he is Argentinian so that could hype the fight. Bradley would be a very solid fight in the US. Khan in the UK - easily the most appealing and highest value fight. Marquez - meaningless IMO, like Khan beating Barrera. How do you figure that? Brooks prob is he isn't big in the US at all. Brook Porter had very low ratings. Lets be real, its a bit silly to think he could ever land a Pac or Floyd fight. JMM or a Khan fight would be great. But I think Brook should fight Thurman as that is a fight he could get. I do not think JMM is going to fight Brook. JMM is gonna retire or fight a far softer touch.
