Canelo/Cotto not dead yet!

i think oscar is right. im sure showtime crunched the numbers and realized that they cant expect near the same numbers that mayweather vs cotto 1 did. they wont have canelo bringing in the mexican fanbase, instead he will be taking buys away from them. also, most people already feel that floyd already proved he is better than cotto, so they would rather watch a more exciting fight for free, than pay $70 for a needless rematch.

I think Canelo is probably ready to move on from Cotto. He got tired of waiting on him. Canelo vs Kirkland is a good fight. One should never count out Kirkland. That's a fight that would be easy to sell to the fans. Putting it on the same night as Mayweather's PPV would definitely screw up Floyd's numbers.

That fight is as dead as a doornail. Floyd and Cotto want to have a nice safe fight with each other with nobody getting hurt and both of them making good money. Canelo should keep his May fight and Oscar should put on a great undercard and give Cotto-Mayweather some competition on this Mexican holiday that doesn't belong to Mayweather.

As expected, Floyd has negotiated a Cotto fight on the side while pretending to negotiate with Pacs team. Problem is Showtime knows it's not financially viable since it won't even do Maidana 2 numbers while costing way more and are saying no. So now Cotto is looking Canelo again. Floyd of course is trapped since Pac is the only fight that doesn't lose money for Showtime.
