Mayweather, late in 2014, said that he wanted to fight Pacquiao on May 2, 2015.
Pacquiao has since agreed to all of Mayweather's demands including glove size, ring size, blood testing, purse, MGM Grand venue, date. Everything that Mayweather has demanded for the fight to be realized has been accepted by Pacquiao.
However, since the announcement by Floyd - and subsequent acceptance by Pacquiao of all of his demands - T.B.C.E. ("the best COWARD ever" according to some boxing experts when referring to Mayweather) seems to be backing out.
He may be fighting Cotto instead, at a severe catchweight for the so-called middleweight championship that many believe is actually the owned and held by Golovkin.
Should A-side Mayweather fight Pacquiao or should C-side ("C" stands for COWARD) Mayweather fight the fake middleweight champion Miguel Cotto?
I think its about time a poll on this should be made.
If i am floyd i prefer cotto because that's the fight that will make him a 6 division champion and a fight that he can surely win, forget pac it's just too much of a risk floyd is already reach beside he can get the 120 mil in just 3 fights.
Dumbest question in boxing history.
Inb4 every Cotto fan votes for Cotto, and calls this a legacy fight.
That you respond to with an equally stupid generalization.
Good job! :biggthump
I don't want to see Cotto vs Floyd again. Floyd probably wins, but even if he doesn't, it'll be because he's shot or has bad knees or Cotto's on the dope, etc...
Not really that interested in Pac vs Floyd either, tbh, especially with the money they'll want for it.
.
Remove Cotto name make it Khan or Pac
Here is a question and im sure it has been asked before..What happens if for some crazy reason may loses against cotto and manny fights khan and manny wins..what happens to the so-called A side and can Manny offer may 15 mill(since that fight wouldnt generate nearly as much)..Im really curious as what would happen..
Floyd should obviously fight Pac next, if he isn't though Cotto is the next best choice so I'll take it.
No...Khan is the next best choice. Floyd should face Pacquiao and not interfere with Cotto-Canelo fight.
Now because of Mayweather, Cotto waited out and is looking for bigger $$$ against Floyd again.
and now, the Cotto-Canelo got dropped.
From here on out the fight can only get more interesting as Mayweather is slowing down. As those reflexes go it becomes harder to roll punches against the ropes, or counter over the jab. Cotto is one of the good guys and I can admittingly say if he were to beat Mayweather, I wouldn't feel all that bummed out. The sport isn't leaking with talent for us to be bitching about this matchup, it's just not better than Mayweather-Pacquiao, all there is to it.
But look at all the emotional posters that would rather see Canelo-Kirkland, knowing damn well Kirkland gets taken out in the mid or even early rounds.
He can fight cotto after pac....I don't really care for the rematch. ..even if it is for his 5th lineal title in as many weight classes. Pac or nothing.
This thread has already been made one too many times, and the answer is Pacquiao
I agree.
...but it has never been polled yet. The poll would make it semi-official.
This thread has already been made one too many times, and the answer is Pacquiao although I'm not against Cotto getting another opportunity afterwards.
what made anyone think floyd would change his ways for the last couple fights of his career
he can fade out doing a couple rematches for big paychecks with minimal risk, it's a fitting end to his career which was handled with much the same philosophy
