How do you think this fight would go? I know Marciano is a legend, but keep in mind that the size difference between him and Wilder is massive (Marciano's reach was 173 cm, Wilder's reach is 211 cm) and Marciano would be a cruiserweight today.
It may be a bit early to tell, as we have never seen Wilder fight an opponent with the pressure that Marciano would bring into the fight, but Marciano never fought such a big and hardhitting opponent and he was not much of a technician, he would certainly get hit.
So, how do you think this fight would go? I personally can't imagine Marciano winning this, it just doesn't seem realistic, but a friend of mine insists otherwise.
Look how novice like these guys we're and all the mistakes no one even made amateurs fighting like that in the 70s-80s yet rock can beat deon fighting like that?, how?, you people are lunatic idiots on this site, as I said no trainer would let him leave the gym fighting like that
Marciano could not literally carry Wilders jock strap. Wilder would KO him inside 20 seconds. Wilder would never be ALLOWED to KO Marciano.
Wilder would destroy any HW prior to the 80's with hardly any resistance.
Just a fact!
It's always funny when someone has no clue about the definition of the word "literally". :lol1:
When I said Marciano fought guys as big as Wilder I was talking about weight not height. This is boxing, not basketball. Wilder weighed 219 pounds last fight so he is not a giant. Fighters of Marciano's era were very skillful just as the best fighters of today are. They threw the same punches and combinations then as they do today. Why do experts rate Robinson on a par with any of today's best fighters. Boxing was very advanced by the 1950s. They didn't have steroids but they damn sure knew how to box. To the guy who says what a poor fighter Joe Louis was you in a tiny minority who think this way. Most boxing experts rank Louis high among the best heavyweights of all time. He had lightning fast hands, shocking power, flowing combinations and text book perfection of all the punches. I've seen lots of film of Louis and I disagree with you. What makes people think they didn't have big fighters in the old days?????? Jess Williard was heavyweight champ in the early 1900s and he was just as tall as Wilder and 40 pounds heavier and not fat. Then there was Primo Carnera who was heavyweight champ in I think the early 40s and he was 6 ft. 7 inches and 260 pounds of rock hard muscle. He made Wilder look like a bean pole by comparison. Before I get on the Wilder is the greatest of all time band wagon I want to see him against that big Fury who comes to fight and throws a decent amount of punches.

For once, I actually agree with you. But Marciano would last at least 4 rounds, I think. But people overrate the old dogs, I mean, when you look at Joe Louis' old fights, his style seemed like a bad joke, he was just too easy to hit, but at least Marciano had the power, stamina and chin to be effective even without a modern level boxing style. Marciano could be a force at cruiserweight today, Joe Louis wouldn't be able to do anything at heavyweight.
Wilder had trouble in those short spots when Stiverne got low and went to the body Marcaino doesn't fight like Stiverne all up right. Marciano would go to the body something Stiverne didn't do Id say Rocky goes to the body and wears Wilder down and takes him out late
Alright, stop trolling.
Reed you going to ban this fool and the TS is an alt ...probably him,you should ban both accounts and look at his rep probably from giving himself green k from all his alt accounts ...cmon maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiineeeeee
the same guy who couldn't even stop a dehydrated stiverne who was always moving forward and stopping every punch with his face is gonna stop any fighter prior to the 80'
The sickest, dumbest version of Stiverne would ALSO KO Marciano in about 20 seconds.
Obviously Stiverne has a chin about 1000x denser than Rocky's... Just obviously!
Take a bloody look at the difference!

Wilder has only defeated one top 10 heavyweight in his whole career. Marciano was the undisputed champion for years. The great fighters Rocky beat like Charles, Walcott, Moore and Louis would all probably have defeated Wilder. Marciano fought guys as big as Wilder and he KOed them. Marciano had a fighting style that was hard to time and his bob and weave style made him hard to hit clean and he had a good chin. I don't think he would have much trouble knocking Wilder out in a few rounds. He would force the fight and trap Wilder on the ropes and work him over to the head and body with both hands. Wilder is not that good in my opinion. He hits pretty hard but his work rate and balance is poor. Could Wilder beat Haye or Fury? I doubt it. Could he beat Wlad? Hell no. Marciano was no Bermaine. He threw more punches in two rounds the Bermaine throws in a whole fight,
LOL

Why? cause he's tall, Mike Tyson weighed just as much and had great defense, he would have steam rolled a guy like Stiverne (not throwing a lot of punches and no head movement).
You seen how Mike beat Berbeck when Berbeck tried to out power Tyson, Stiverne (just like Berbeck was making 1st defense) was there to be hit all day and a real boxer would not have let it go the distance.
I was just joking mate.
Wilder beats any HW who's ever lived.

Rocky wins by early knockout, until Wilder beats Klitschko or has a couple of real fights it would be hard to imagine otherwise.
Rocky would be pressing the action, not to mention harder to hit because he is lower to the ground, Rocky had ok defense, but his chin, heart and punch are all legendary. This question is hard to answer till we see more of Deontay, remember Rocky and Ali did the superfight movie and the story goes that Ali wanted Rocky to not hit as hard as he was (and Rocky hadn't fought in 10 years atleast).
Marciano fought guys as big as Wilder and he KOed them. ,
YDKSAB. Rocky never fought anyone 6'7+ in his career. Lets make this easy, rocky = 5'10 195
wilder = 6'7 220
Rocky doesn't last four rounds guaranteed. Walcott and Charles were old farts at the time and still gave him a run for his money, tagging him whenever they wanted.

Neither Louis, Charles, Walcott or Moore would have stood a chance against Wilder, times were different back then. Boxers were smaller and technique was less developed, just watch videos of Louis, he was far too easy to hit for Wilder to have any problems with him. Marciano is the best fighter from that era, but he had no wins which were impressive by today's standards. However, his punching power and stamina was monstrous and his chin was very good, which is why I think he would stand a chance against Wilder, I just doubt he would win.
