Boxing judge C.J. Ross gives a rare interview and speaks on her past controversial scores and talks about her desire to judge fights once again.
Here are some quotes....
"The more commentators get excited about something and criticize and stir up controversy, the more people write in to them. They try to stimulate that kind of controversy for them, it's just something TV does"
"I was asked why my score could have gone to a draw but it just has to be one fighter ending up with six rounds. When you think of it in terms of six rounds and the nearest other judge had an eight round to four card, we weren't all that far off. It was an even fight, a lot of those rounds were even, they just swung back and forth."
"It was right for what I saw. It may not have been right to what the other two judges saw but it was right to what I saw."

I thought it was 11-1, 10-2 kind of fight.
Only rounds Canelo got were the rounds Mayweather clearly took off. He took a round off in the middle, and he was on his bike for the 12th.
The rest of the way he was getting beat by every scoring criteria there is.
Floyd/Gatti - each round was a whitewash. Gatti landed nothing and Floyd thoroughly dominated each round. Same for Floyd/Corrales.
Floyd/Canelo - Pretty even rounds with Floyd edging them out by a few more punches landed.
I think you need to look up the definition of "whitewash".
Floyd/Gatti was a destruction. It was a beating. and a TKO. It wasn't a "whitewash". Same with Corrales.
I doubt you even watched the fight now. You seem to get confused with the Cotto fight as someone else said.
Floyd vs Canelo was definitely a whitewash. I don't even think Canelo won a single round decisively.
There have been scorecards wayyyyy worse than C.J.Ross Were they fired?? What about Eugenia Williams who scored for Holyfield over Lewis. Was she fired?? No she still judges but under the name Gene Williams now. What about the ludicrous blatantly biased refereeing by Joe Cortez & Kenny Bayless. Were they fired??? No
There is a common denominator here Ross, voted against Mayweather FIRED
Cortez & Bayless protected Mayweather like two mother hens guarding her chicks. Theyre doing ok One in the HOF even
Boxing isn't corrupt is it??????????
So I take it that CJ ROSS was also right when she had Timothy Bradley beating Manny Pacquiao as well?
I have just realized that CJ Ross was judging Pacqiao-Bradley also. That was another perfect scoring from CJ Ross. Pacqiao lost that fight. I had the same score and I am not trolling. I have more problems to understand scoring in Mayweather-Maidana I, than any score card of CJ Ross.
Canelo won the 12th round and he might have won an earlier round, one of the easiest fights to score. Canelo had a pretty decent round 8 but then Mayweather seemed to have turned the clock back and let loose in the last 1:30 seconds.
Show me where I said the fight was close?
What I said was that Floyd was the obvious winner but the rounds were close rounds that went Floyds way because he was able to land a few more punches per round than Canelo.
I think you're describing the Cotto fight. There wasn't a single closely contested round in that fight until, POSSIBLY the last one and that was Floyd not caring.
Floyd/Gatti wasn't a whitewash, it was a 6 round KO. Canelo lasted 12, none were close. I thought you were a pretty decent poster thinking the Floyd/Canelo fight was close makes me worry.

The commentators were shamefully showering Floyd with love throughout the fight and misleading viewers. They only saw their beloved Floyd's punches, and were blind to Canelo's.
Ross is right, it was a close fight.
And for much of the fight, Floyd ran from the weight-drained Canelo like a frightened chicken. You shouldn't win rounds by running.
Really? How could you type that out without laughing your ass off.
I'm telling you for some reason Floyd brings out the absolute worst in users.
She has a history of giving Draws in fights where the other two judges gave a good amunt of rounds to the other guy. Anyone who had Canelo winning or had this fight a Draw should stop scoring fights.
I have the utmost respect for CJ ross after al she went thru. I feel bad for her, she got a lot of hate and unfair treatment. I myself had Canelo up 118-112 in one of my scorecards. It was definitely a closer fight that most people remember.
She might not have gotten paid off. Tyson talked about this and said it could just be jealousy or hate. Maybe she's tired if Floyd and PAC. Well she tried her best lol
It was pretty much a whitewash in every round :lol1: undeniable. Canelo held back and was trying to counter punch the counter puncher and failed. Miserably. Floyd even walked him down ,and out gunned him too. He did everything better: Slipped, rolled, ducked, jabbed, moved, lead right, moved him back in the pocket, right hook worked.
Canelo was trying a few left hooks that didn't really work. It was a bad performance from him and an excellent performance by Floyd.
Yes, I brought up Compubox because you said every round was close and Floyd just landed a couple of more punches in most of the rounds, which is simply a ridiculously retarded thing to say.
