Deontay Wilder showed us more than he's ever shown before on the weekend.
- Some real fundamentals, use of the jab.
- A chin atleast not packing crystal quality glass
- Enough stamina to make 12 rounds.
It could be argued some of these things were not exactly tested like we'd hoped but credit where it is due.
However, one thing has been exposed.
Deontay's power is no longer legendary.
Even considering Stiverne has an iron chin, Wilder landing repeated money shots over 12 rounds flush on Stiverne and not able to knock him out is for me undisputable proof that he is no thrashing machine at top level.
He now joins the list of fighters like Briggs etc, who were KO machines against bummy boxers but their power was nowhere near as effective against top fighters.
Wilder's power = exposed!
