Since last night all I'm hearing is Wlad would do this to Wilder , Wilder would do this to Wlad...
you guys understand that Wlad just signed a multi fight deal with HBO???
D.Wilder is with Haymon/NBC/Showtime so there is no way this fight ever happens. If you paid attention during last nights broadcast the announcers never even mentioned the Name Klitschko and acted all like Bermane was the lineal champ and now Wilder just saved Boxing by winning an alphabet belt right?
Haymon is gonna make Wilder milk that belt until Wlad retires
Who did Wlad defeat to gain the belt in the first place can you even remember? I believe he fought for a vacant title two times before actually beating a champion. In my mind the last true Champion was Lennox Lewis. He defeated Evander Holyfield for his belt.
if you are only talking about Wlad's current reign, He tok the IBF off Byrd in April 2006,he took the WBO off Sultan Ibragimov(whom had taken that off Shannon Briggs) in 2008, and the WBA(Super/Real version lol) off Haye in July 2011
haymon isnt a dumbass. i think it depends on his pbc plans. if right here right now, he could market the **** outta wilder and pbc using UNDISPUTED HW CHAMP OF THE WORLD, he would advise wilder to do it. but if not an immediate need, just wait till he retire.
That is a very good point. It took 15 months to get Lewis-Tyson made. 15 MONTHS just because of the networks. Hopefully there is a guideline when Pac-Floyd is made so they can use it for Wilder-Klit.
Most of us in the US are not as delusional or agenda driven as you. Wlad is the champion. Wilder is a nobody right now. He can become something but right now his resume is not even average for the division.
You post on this board about a fringe sport that the casual fan barely has any knowledge of. Trust me the average fan barely knows Wlad and might think Mike Tyson is still a factor in the division. Hence King talking out loud about a Tyson fight.....:blow::sad2:

He fought for the vacant WBO belt against Brewster and was sparked.
To the USA he is the Champion, I mean who is on Wlad's resume that any casual boxing fan here in the US would recognize? Wilder is a USA Olympic bronze medalist winner in 2008 and his charisma seems to be one with the fans. 3300 with 32 KO's helps him sell a bit. What Haymon would advise Wilder to do is any different than what Wlad has been doing in Germany for years?

The networks aren't the problem they just wanna make money right here right now and that would be a big fight.
Haymon is the problem, he would tell Wilder to milk the WBC belt for 5 years while selling himself as "the champion" to the US audience.

I agree that Al Haymon won't advise Wilder to fight Klitschko. Klitschko ain't even known much in the US so it's not like there'll be 1 million+ PPV buys.
It is going to be a while before we see a HW PPV. What Al needs to do is bulk up a card for PPV and maybe put Wilder as a co main event.

This is my point with Wilder now in the US, why fight Wlad when he can who ever and fill up venues like the MGM? America is so starved for a HW that they will come out in thousands to see a HW fight. I mean look at the fight last night against B-Ware.
Good point
Partly because he fights guys like Pulev and Alex Leapi and will try to convince people that they actually have a chance. It doesn't really matter who Vladi fights in Germany he will fill up soccer stadiums no matter what. So why fight the best when you don't have to.

kitschko makes most of his money from german TV and gate money.
HBO will not dictate terms to klitschko. they can only pay a fraction of what wladimir makes each fight, unless they put him on PPV. he will never sell on PPV in america. they'd need to build wilder into a genuine star, which will take years.
HBO is limited to around 2 million or so for a single fighter on an HBO championship boxing telecast. if any of you care to recall, HBO blew 1/4 of its budget or more on alexander - bradley, and it sucked and ended in a headbutt. they won't / cant pay more than that.
I saw his last fight with Pulev. I wasn't impressed much by it. I never heard of Pulev up until the fight. I didn't even know the fight was on until the last minute. Like I said it is a shame Klit is not promoted better here in the USA.

You should watch his last fight it was very good for HBO

Klitschko's fight vs. Jennings will be his 2nd of 3 on his deal with HBO. It's not a long-term deal.
I didn't even notice that Klit had a deal with HBO. He is so poorly promoted here in the US. It is a shame!!!
One way or another, if the fight does actually happen there will be one world heavyweight champion. Just one. When's the last time that happened?
Tyson beat every title holder and Unified the belts and became UNDISPUTED HEAVY WEIGHT CHAMPION. Then came along James Buster Douglas was who lost to Holyfield who than lost to Bowe who relinquished his WBC belt to Lewis when he refused to fight him. Then Lewis beat Evander and became UNDISPUTED HEAVY WEIGHT CHAMPION. So my answer is Lennox Lewis 1999 - 2000.
It might happen, but not until a couple years, and Vladimir might be retired by then.
Two things here ----->>>> $$$$ and oh yeah $$$$$... Since America has not had a HW buzz since Clinton was president Wilder might be able to get a fight deal with a Major Network (SHOWTIME) and MGM Venue and get paid $$$$.... Much like the Klitty's have done over in Germany for the past decade or so. To be truthful what is wrong with that? If that is what he (WILDER / HAYMON) chooses. It's obvious they have some kind of a game plan since Wilder was not calling for Wald after his win last night....LeFtY
Not happening, Vitali is now the mayor of Kiev and has his eyes on becoming the head of state of Ukraine in the future. He has bigger fish to fry now.
I think Vitali knows that Wilder would beat him right now. You cannot beat father time.
