Given that most Haymon fighters are not signed to any promoters, it's likely a safe bet that the three fighters were all Al's. If I had to guess Danny Garcia was one of the three as well, given the recent GB settlement where he was cleared as not being a GB fighter.
Between the Showtime budget & the investor bank for the NBC fights, Al will be able to keep his guys happy for 2015 and likely 2016, but it could get interesting after that.
He's gonna get a shot against either Cotto or Canelo too.
Maybe. Still, he'd have to go up at least seven pounds, likely more than that for Canelo, and he'd be doing so against a significantly bigger man when he barely had enough pop to keep folks off of him at welterweight.
If a different decision had been made, Bradley vs Khan was a viable fight at 140, and would've been a big fight too. After that, Bradley could've faced off with Malignaggi, Victor Ortiz, Josesito Lopez, Randall Bailey and other, all in winnable fights.
He keeps stringing together wins, and he makes himself an option for Floyd Mayweather, while still being one of the top fighters at 147. A riskier path, but a path that would open up far more opportunity for his legacy and career.
Why Jay-z going after Al Haymon guys only?
Probably because like the TS said they aren't signed to a promoter, so they're easier to sign - if they tried signing somebody at Top Rank or Golden Boy they would probably have to pay some sort of compensation fee for signing one of their guys.
They'll attempt sign Haymon guys to build up a small roster and then target guys that are coming out of their contract and people who are just about to go pro.
Being free to control your own destiny is a pretty good position to be in. Pretty sure that Timothy Bradley is a pretty terrible example to hold up.
Sign the contract with a company, take the in-house fights, have your promoter openly trash you following the biggest victory of your career, have the media turn on you, get a massive payday to fight leftovers, and be left with no real other big fights to consider going forward.
Bradley fought Diego Chaves in a nothing fight, and, at best, is looking at another nothing fight against the Rios/Alvarado 3 winner (likely for the WBO title if Pacquiao moves down), before looking at just rematches or going from a feather-fisted welterweight to being a feather-fisted 154.
how is that smart?

It's amazing none of them have left Haymon yet.
Haymon gets these guys good paydays, but he doesn't actually give them any $ otherwise.
If you sign with these other guys like top rank, and Roc nation, you'll get a suit case of $ up front, and still get paid well for fights.
These fighters aren't very Smart. Tim Bradley is quietly probably one of the best paid boxers since he joined top rank, huge signing bonus and big paychecks every time he's fought with them.

Roc is perusing haymon fighters because those fighters does not have promotional contracts.
The other fighter they acquired was ward. Roc nation had to buy his contract or settle wards current contract from his old promoter.
Haymon fighters are not going to leave him for Roc Nation
I think the focus should be on building new stars and getting guys who are available and/or stuck in a situation they would like to get out off like Ward.
Can't blame them for trying though! Rigondeaux is available, also not sure what is going on with Mikey Garcia and Demetrius Andrade situation but those would be some great signing.
I hope Roc Nation does well though, anything to help the sport grow I'm all for it!
Roc is going after haymon fighters because they have no promoters.....
The only other fighter they went after was ward and that involved buying his contract.....

i think it was henry ramirez who said in a interview recently that haymon is loyal and if you have any problems he helps you out. and i think i seen that haymon bought santa cruz a house
I assume he's trying to break them up. You get one guy and other see what he's getting and shakes the foundation a little... kind of like what Haymon did
