Haye struggled with Wladimir's size it would be interesting to see how he would combat Wilder's height advantage. If Haye didn't get knocked out by Wlad, I don't see him getting knocked out by Wilder.
Feel like if Haye was only near full fitness, he'd easily take Deontay out. But he seems to be sidelined for too long and with too many injuries. Plus with his age, if his speed is gone then he's going to get his weak chin taken out.
If was still operating at a high level though, I'd like that fight.
That video footage floating around showed Wilder getting rocked by a few shots from Haye but Haye himself admits there were things not shown that tell a completely different story. Wilder knocks him out.
i think wilder would beat him. judging by the valuev and wlad fights, haye doesn't do well against such big guys. wilder showed last night that he can happily stay at long range for 12 rounds and punish a smaller opponent with thudding jabs and straights. haye definitely can't take a fraction of the punches that stiverne did
Haye would ko Wilder coming in, hes too fast and hits too hard. You only have to watch the small clip of sparring to guess how the rest of the fight would pan out.
However I dont see this fight happening, Hayes had major surgery and been out for a long time. In Hayes recent interviews, he said it would be stupid to go right back in at the top.
It's hard to get excited about anything involving Haye, who knows if he will even show up, or what he'll look like at this point?
If he is still the same guy, I think he'd beat Wilder. Haye would still be the second best HW in the world if he came back at his best.
Well here are the guys in lines , we just don't want to see Wilder vs #45 & #54 like Santa Cruz is doing

Of those options, Povetkin would be descent, not better than a Haye fight though imo
Hmm...could explain why Haye wants to sign with Haymon and delayed his comeback for so long...probably was waiting for this!!
Precisely.
Haye has had this in the works since the first Fury pull out.
Wilder vs Wlad...the only fight at HW I want to see. Wilder still needs more experience 1st though so maybe Chirora and then Fury and then Wlad. I'm still really not excited about the HW's to really care.
Name some better options for Wilder. The HW division isn't exactly stacked.

Haye... he's a HW version of Andre Ward right? No thanks not unless he earns his way to a shot Tyson Fury is higher in the cue than him and rightly so.
I like Wilder against any solid heavy, I think it would be a difficult match-up for Haye but he would have his chances.
Fury is not bad either.
Could be a good option for one of those afternoon NBC cards, considering that would be prime time UK~
