For example if someone says things like bradley beat pacquiao do you say no he didnt and debate it or you the type to say its in the books a win is a win. Do you go with the record books or with what actually happened in the ring? Give your take lets keep civil and lets talk boxing.
It's ok to think that way except for when it comes to Tito and Oscar. That was the best robbery ever! Lol I had Oscar winning 7-5 but the dude literally ran like a ***** for the last 3 rds. That was unacceptable bro. That fight was huge back then. Like a prime Manny vs Floyd type of fight. Can u imagine Floyd literally running away in fear of getting knocked out late or hurt from a big punch just to preserve a victory for the last 3 rounds??? He would get slayed! **** Oscar bro, he did some bs. Finish that fight the way you started it. Idc if you're tired or what.
Lol you know I was cheering the robbery in the tito fight but objectively i Knew it was bogus. And my feeling was similar to the Lara fight, that so eine ho behaves that way doesn't deserve to win. Difference is odlh actually won roy de whereas its debatable how many Lara won. I've watched boxing religiously for 17 years and Lara's performance is the worst I ever seen.
Boxing is extremely corrupt so I go by what I see and disregard the official record in cases like Bradley PAC 1, Marquez PAC 3, Castillo mayweather. I think the wrong person officially won those fights. I also thought oscar losing to tito was b.s and Vargas beating winky wright was utter garbage.

You're asking the wrong group of people to discuss a topic like robberies :lol1: Any close fight is instantly labeled a robbery. Most of the time robbery is being proclaimed the fight is seen dead even or barely any advantage given either way.
But fights that are true robberies like Pac/Bradley,Abril/Rios,Lara/Williamas are simply absurd and the official scoring should be ignored.
Fine. But a hand needs to get raised and there is just no way a non biased person could really score that in Canelo's favor. I don't even think you could come up with a draw.
I was highly upset with Lara's performance and highly critical of it and while I won't say he deserved to lose based on it ... I feel like he knew what the stakes were and he had every opportunity to pull the trigger and he **** the bed.
That being said ... It wasn't a master class but it really was pretty clean cut. I land 2 or 3 clean punches you miss 4 or 5 hard punches ... I win the round.
The rounds Canelo won (2) were the most dominant of the fight,I'll give him that, but outside of those rounds ... He lost.
I thought it could go either way. Neither guy "won" the fight. Lara just happened to throw it away. Alvarez landed enough in enough rounds to where the decision could go his way, and those rounds were all ones where Lara did nothing.
But that one scorecard that had it one-sided for Alvarez made it pretty clear Lara never had a chance with the judges.
I think boxing should take a page from the new battle rap format. They used to have judges at the big events, now they just let the guys spit, upload it to the internet and the within a day there is a general consensus as to who won... Obviously it wouldn't work for boxing given the amount of money at stake and how important a W or L is to their careers but in a perfect world it might work ...
Or maybe get compete judges who won't take bribes...
Lol remind me never to watch that disaster again.
Dude to be honest with you I watched it once live and once the next day hungover ... There isn't enough tea in china to make me sit through that **** again.
It's easy just tell em to get their head out their ass and stop bullsh*tting, and I rarely have to say such a thing because the only people who say that the robbed fighter lost are usually the fans of the other fighter, unbiased people see it the same way the non bribed judges of the world saw it. Thats why it's seen as a robbery or controversial cause everyone else with two eyes and their tongue not in the gifted boxers ass sees the truth.
To me my opinion is final. If I see a fight and I think a fighter won that fight then it goes down in my memory as a win for him forever. The judges scorecards mean nothing to me if I think they were wrong. I watch the fights carefully round by round and score them round by round and often rewatch them and rescore them. I will always have Pacquiao a winner of the first Bradley fight by many points and Matthysse a clear winner over Judah and Alexander and so on for any fight that I disagreed with the official decision.
In most fights those 10 punches wouldn't count but in a fight where Canelo didn't land much more than 10 punches to the head TOTAL they make a difference as funny as it sounds ...
Lol remind me never to watch that disaster again.
I get what you're saying that Lara moved a lot, but let's be real: why couldn't Canelo just cut off the ring? Angulo did it; why couldn't Nelo?
Lara lost that fight more than Canelo won it, if that makes sense. Lara actually did land 10 more punches than Canelo.

Because he's not very good lol I remember when he fought Alfonso Gomez a few years ago and in a few rounds gomez schooled him in close quarters and made him look really bad. Prior to that fight I thought canelo was the next big thing but after that I realized he wasn't anything special and his performances since then indicate that. Anyway, that fight with Lara was just brutal.
I strongly disagree man, really neither fighter did anything in that fight. The way Lara fought was a disgrace, 2 minutes of moving laterally and the occasional 1-2 is not enough to win a fight. It was not a robbery, at best it was a 7-5 win for him and that's really pushing it.

Lara beat Canelo... Period. I know a different set of rules applied to Lara in that fight and all of the sudden body/elbow shots were all of the sudden the standard in scoring fights ...
But let's be real ... An insanely popular Mexican fighter fought a Cuban fighter who couldn't match up... In terms of fans ... And fans only...
But the wrong hand got raised that night and it will always view that as a win for Lara.
^^^ now apply that to all the (real) robberies that we see and will continue to see in this sport... Just follow the money...

Ya I was hesitant to add that one in because it was close, I've seen it twice, I just don't see how it was a draw.
According to compubox, Pacquiao landed more punches than Marquez. It shows that Marquez was not dominating that fight to get a win.
I know compubox was not 100% reliable but tv cameras don't show all angles in fights too.
This was not a clear win to Marquez nor a robbery by Pacquiao. The fight was so close, that Draw was the best result here.
