Watch out for Canelo-Clottey and more Top Rank rematches and trilogies. Haymon has all the talent in the biz. NBC will kill HBO with the right matchups.
just like few years ago after floyd and haymon move to showtime, Showyime will kill HBO! lol! :bottle:
That***39;s a big if. Be patient. Real story will come out. "@jrosales13: If Al is taking his whole stable to NBC....What options does SHO have?— Stephen Espinoza (@StephenEspinoza) January 12, 2015
Remove Klitschko, Lomachenko, Lemeiux, Provodnikov, and Walters. They are not stars.
Of course Klitschko is a star man, I never called anyone a star but those fighters put up numbers.
Klitschko-Pulev - 1m+
Lemieux last bout - 908k
Provo last bout - 1.1m
Walters got a bounce with Donaire but people will be checkin for him now
Lomachenko 1m+
To put it in perspective, Adonis Stevenson - 292k
so where will the Haymon...
Who knows? Especially when Schaefer's return is looming somewhere. That clown is a bridge burner. He burns them when his feelings are hurt. Don't know why you want that clown back.
Haymon's business model is not sustainable. It's short-sighted. He'll be out of business in no time.
Watch out for Canelo-Clottey and more Top Rank rematches and trilogies. Haymon has all the talent in the biz. NBC will kill HBO with the right matchups.
Be serious, HBO have Golovkin, Kovalev, Pacquiao, Klitschko, Alvarez, Lomachenko, Ward, Lemieux, Cotto, Provodnikov, Marquez, Walters and plenty of others besides.
Both. Possibly HBO as well. Haymon has options. People hate him buy the guy is a business genius.
I used to think the same but I start to doubt it. He can use his money for shure but he cut off himself by HBO and Showtime just had a horrible year. Now he's trying with NBC. But what will happen if Mayweather retires? Who will be his new cashcow superstar? So far he couldn't build up any superstar. He has so many fighters from shady ways from GBP but ironically the only one who clearly has a star potential - namely Canelo - is not with him but with Oscar. Is Haymon really a business genius? And add the fact that the guy is unsociable af, he can't work with other promoters imo he will slowly kill himslef with this. He is a big fish nut there are other big fishes and they will eat him up slowly if he can't liaise.
Showtime still??? Or just on NBC and ESPN???
Serious question. Golden Boy lost A TON of fighters but where these guys be fighting now???
Not intending to dash your hopes for a valid response to your question, but these guys on this forum are the wrong one's to ask. Especially since these guys thrive on mis-statements, false-truths, half-truths and in many cases complete BS rumors.
Open up a twitter account and ask someone who would have a better grasp on reality and or access to actual information.

Yes, and Top Rank fighters will fight on Showtime. And everyone will live happily ever after. Mayweather vs Pacquiao will happen on both HBO and Showtime, they'll both be escorted into the ring by Unicorns. The PPV will be called SHBOwtime. Jimmy Lennon Jr and Michael Buffer will take turns talking like The Road Dogg Jessie James and The Badass Billy Gunn from DX. Al Haymon will actually be in the ring hyping his fighter, clapping and yelling "TBE" repeatedly with Justin Bieber and Triple H.
NBC and Showtime clearly! It was rumored last month that he was working on a Sp1keTV deal, not sure if that was true or just a rumor.
Not sure how long Showtime will be in play though, probably up until Mayweather contract is up with them which ends this year. Seems like Haymon is a bit unpredictable but has some type of MASTER PLAN! Suppose to be some sort of Press Conference on Wendesday to reveal his PLAN with NBC...that should be interesting. I doubt Haymon himself will be hosting that Press Conference! Probably Sam Watson, maybe Schaefer
While I am not jumping on the haymon bandwagon and I still am very skeptical of the guy, he has all the ingredients to really make a big difference. hes got a ton of fighters on lock, promotional company on the way, tv networks. Whatever ideas anyone can speculate about now means nothing because we don't know what the hell this guy is gonna do.
Sure he can **** boxing as many seem to think but he can also benefit it. we just have to wait and see. One year is nothing and his fighters only fought 2 times. In the grand scheme of things, that is nothing. it only looks bad because all his fighters fought those ****ty two fights in the same year.
everyone needs to keep in mind that there are many opposing forces in boxing (boxers, fans, managers, promoters, etc) and each of those separate entities have a responsibility to do what's best for themselves and they will not always match up. So anyone claiming to be pro-fighters could in fact be ripping off the promoters or fans and someone claiming to be pro-fans could be ripping off the fighter. In almost every equation, someone gets fawked.
so far in 2014, haymon and his fighters made bank while everyone else suffered. We will have to see if he will strike a balance or see who gets fawked in his system. as long as its not the fans I don't give a ****. If every fighter, manager, promoter has to get ripped off so that the fans get theirs, then so be it. a boxer job is to box to the best of his ability and be entertaining. my job is to pay the money and watch. I don't want to follow a guy for 10 years fighting 2x a year with soft touches in between to finally hit his ****in prime at age 35 then is ready to face contenders. and if he faces another 30+, dude was faded or if he faced a young buck, the guy is ****in young and hasn't hit prime yet. Boxing today is set up so that everyone is a ****ing hypejob. to get out of becoming a hype job, make it to 35yrs old with a great record of ppvs.
if haymon starts a new promotional company, and the guy puts on great fights regardless of if he is taking all his fighters money and getting it in with their wives, I will watch that ****. I expect a new promo company to make a big splash with good matchups to attract the casuals.
75% of Haymon's roster will be on NBC.
.
With all of the prospects under the Haymon umbrella, most of the guys will likely be on NBC Sports; the name fighters under the umbrella (Garcia, Thurman, Wilder, Maidana, Stevenson, Khan, etc) will likely be featured on the 14-18 major telecasts that will be aired between Showtime(10-14) and NBC(4)
What will happen to GBP's series on Fox Sports 1? Fox can't be happy with the GBP-Haymon divorce. Does FS1 have other promoters?
Roc nation is gonna be on fs1 now I guess
Showtime still??? Or just on NBC and ESPN???
Serious question. Golden Boy lost A TON of fighters but where these guys be fighting now???
Haymon has done the work to build and establish the TV relationships, working hand-in-glove with Espinoza/Showtime and putting up some of his own investor's money to run the test experiment on NBC. To that, you also add the regular appearances for his fighters on ESPN too.
Goosen, DiBella, Warriors Boxing, Sampson Boxing, Mayweather Promotions, GYM, Matchroom Sport, and other promotional outfits all have the ability to handle the logistics of putting on shows and, with the legal situation now cleared, Schaefer and the folks that left Golden Boy with him can be brought in to handle whatever logistical issues that could come up in putting on major/PPV cards.
He' got the spectrum of fighters (superstars, budding stars, top prospects, aging veterans) and enough relationships with folks who can deliver journeyman fighters to be just fine, as long as he's still got his relationship with Espinoza.
I think the better question is who will promote the fights in the near future?
Everyone agrees Haymon cannot do it yet. Which is why GB promoted the fights. Oscar caught on that he should not be helping his future rival, Oscar probably knows he should've done this earlier.
And Arum will not work with Haymon. So what will the Haymon fighters do for now?
Schaefer is back. He will head up the promotional wing of whatever Haymon has planned.
Not on HBO, that bridge is burned. Sho also can't be happy he's serving them utter sh1t cause he's saving the better matchups for NBC. We'll see if he's still welcome once Espinoza is out
Money can quickly mend bridges. Things change, if Haymon feels the need to get his massive stable on more channels and more exposure, he will do what he has to do too open the doors at HBO.
