and Golden boy and Schaefer settle.

Wonder where it all leads for Haymon. He can't maintain a system where his best guys get to win all the time. And he has too many fighters to keep them all happy.
But none of them can leave, or enter into any other agreement unless Al gives them written permission to do so.
Something's got to give. Hopefully it's the crappy matchmaking.
He'll do just fine; as long as his fighters perform well and want to fight, they'll get opportunities. Just look at Austin Trout.
He got the Cotto opportunity, got the Canelo opportunity, and then got the Lara opportunity before needing to rebuild a bit. Two fights on ESPN and Trout's now likely a fight away from getting another big fight.
You then consider that most fighters, who are beyond the prospect stage of their careers, don't have more than 2-3 fights each year and there's even less concern. As long as the fights are good, even fighters who lose will get return shots.

Haymon has still yet to produce a big star, besides Floyd who was already on his way.
You forgot the most important----canelo
canelo was never with haymon
pretty much this, still a mess
The crazy thing is that Canelo Alvarez wasn't originally with Golden Boy also. They had that case that went to arbitration, it was supposed to be held last month. I'm pretty sure Golden Boy had to fork over millions. Unless the arbitration was postponed.

And people kept blaming Arum for the so-called 'Cold War'. SMH.
Do you people finally see who was responsible all along? It's only going to get worse in 2015.
All I care about to be honest if Schaefer getting back into the Sport...say what you want but the man was giving fans LOADED CARDS and good match ups. Seems like the only one that can get Haymon to match up his fighters!
Haymon saw Schaefer as a stand-up guy, so he had no problem doing business with him.
Oscar De La Hoya, in all honesty, is a Canelo defeat away from falling off of the wagon again. Why hitch your wagon to someone like that?
edit: nvm, I missed that part in the article about those three.. add them to the list below
The mainstream GBP only guys are:
Alvarez
Hopkins
Herrera
Rosado
Caballero
Centeno
Ali
Those three are going need to take it to the next level this year because GBP is going to need them.
Question becomes....will GBP every do deals with Haymon or will Haymon fighters be blackballed.
Doesnt matter. Haymon has around 200 fighters signed up with him. Those guys can easily go to FMP and all fight each other. You know, champs vs sparring partners.
Khan, Matthysse and LSC.

Is khan, matthyse, and Santa cruz released by Harmon?
its says they will be promoted by GBP, main thing is, GBP have Canelo, probably the 3rd or 4th biggest star in American boxing right now. I think they'd be happy with that.
future not looking too hot for gbp, hardly got any fighters and its going to be tough to attract any because haymon can refuse to do business unless they are signed to him. oscar the crack head fvcked up his own company, this is why u never let another man be in charge of ur business.
great news.....haymon needs to team up with richard asap. they put up the best matches. they usually stack the cards unlike top rank and their constant mismatches.
Yeah, more matches for Rod Salka. Come on, are you serious?

I don't think so because Haymon is technically just a business advisor. And anyway, I'm pretty sure this information on Khan is not correct.
It was widely reported he is a free agent, after the Alexander fight. Pretty sure Oscar would've corrected this.
And all those guys supposedly have one more fight with GB, so they probably don't need to be released if that is how things were looking.
Its a very interesting situation for sure. The one thing I am wondering is, how do we know boxing on primetime is going to be a big thing? Boxers have always made the most on premium cable. This is cool, and it will give boxing bigger exposure, and make boxers more famous, but I am not so sure they are going to get more money. Think it could be the opposite.
Didn't Golden boy just signed 16 fighters? Some of them are foreigners. He can still make it work. Deal with Cathy Duva, TR, Dibella, and other fighters not sign with Al. This is very interesting indeed.
