If you don't follow the weights below 122 then I'm sure you didn't hear about him until this week. He beat 2 good champions in 2 separate weight classes. Became a Champion at 108 earlier this year and jumped up to 115 to beat a veteran Champion in Narvaez in an ass whooping that lead to a 2nd round KO… something not even Nonito Donaire was able to accomplish.
The bolded displays your lack of knowledge in regards to the lower weight divisions. Inoue is at 115 lbs, Gonzalez is at 112 lbs and has showed interest in fighting Inoue/Narvaez winner, now that Inoue is the Champion the boxing fans that know what's going on down there are calling for the fight. Since Roman asked for it we want to see it, and although Roman is an extraordinary fighter in his own right, a lot has yet to be seen from him at 115 lbs, since he has yet to test waters there. Another thing is the clash of styles. Not only does it favor Inoue but Naoya's power carried very well and if you have actually watched more than 2 Roman fights you would know he can get tagged rather easily.
Naoya Inoue has displayed everything needed to take down Roman, boxing skill and power in both hands would always trouble a come forward pressure fighter the likes of Roman. Hard fight for both men but the 21 year old Champion will take it in my opinion in an extremely close fight. However, the possibility of a KO going for either fighter is there so I'm not counting anyone out. Naoya Inoue is more than simple hype, the man beat down a solid contender with one hand in his earlier fights, the only fight that went the distance but displayed an amazing array of technique and ability off of one hand alone.
Now a fight between Rigo and Inoue is farfetched at the moment. Rigo is at 122 and Inoue is at 115. Although Inoue has many years to come in the sport Rigo is getting up there in years and by the time(if ever) Naoya reaches 122, I honestly dont think Rigo would be around anymore. However I could be wrong but for you to actually believe in the fight enough to bring it up is ridiculous to me.. at least learn the wieghtclasses before bashing a fight that is nothing more than a fantasy at this point and time.
