Not sure what the chances are of Rigo getting 500k again this was a one time deal I believe and just stating the truth NYE events are Huge in Japan they garner Huge audiences check old Pride/K1 days it didn't really matter who they put on, there's was a pre-determined audience maybe now with the exposure Rigo could become more known but I doubt many if any knew who he was prior.
Also not sure how you could have gotten those numbers of 32 mil so soon it happened like 8 hrs ago. maybe that was the projection
This would be a great opportunity for Rigo if it indeed happened. The only (Mexican)American worth fighting is Santa Cruz, and there seems to be a bunch of drama down that path. Japan has a longer list of potential opponents at 118/122 and the fights may be easier to make.
Don't you think Amagasa vs. the best 122-pounder in the world is a more attractive/prestigious fight than Amagasa vs. domestic-level Japanese fighter to boxing fans in Japan?
Naw, Amagasa is the cash cow of Asia. :boxing:
Ok lets make something clear, it was Agamasa that drew the viewers, not Rigo.

Definitely, but not just limit himself to Japan, there's also the UK, Germany, China, ect. Other countries that will surely welcome him. He needs to take his show on the road and be a traveling champion.
when this fight was announce i said that rigo is gonna gain some new fans because the japanese people are very easily amuse by something they dont usually see everyday.
Yeah tbh I think it's great. He can have some good competitive fights in Japan with a huge fanbase. He can keep busy now and cruz will just look foolish
Absolutely.
32 million viewers in Japan, got paid half a million and he can actually get fights. He was mobbed on the way out of the arena, he deserves the reception he gets over there.
