Which was the better Documentary?
Manny or I Am Ali
Manny: Showing the life and rise of Manny Pacquiao. Narrated By Liam Neeson
I Am Ali: Showing the rise and fall of the self proclaim "Greatest Of All Time" Muhammad Ali. Narrated By Muhammad Ali (Old Voice Recording)
Watched the Pacman one today.
Felt like they left alot of stuff out. They never really spoke about what made Manny such a great boxer and different from everyone else. They only touched on the the DLH fight and none others without explaining really why it was such a big deal other than he was bigger. Only a handful of boxers were interviewed as well, should've spoke to other former Manny victims.
No real boxing content but I suppose its not as much for boxing fans, more for casual mainstream interest?
Though seeing what it was like in the Philippines and growing up was cool- plus the insight into all the dodgy people surrounding Manny, thought that was brave to portray them as the douchebags they are etc.
I have yet to see either doc's but....
I've never seen anything better than "Facing Ali"!
To see, & hear that all-star cast of HW's like Norton, Fraizer, Lyle, Cooper, Holmes, Foreman, Spinks, Terrell, Shavers, & to me the most intelligent, and candid fighter of the bunch, George Chavilo.
This is a must see. To finally hear Fraizer reconcile with Ali. Norton, Foreman, Holmes, Lyle give the GOAT mad props gave me goosebumps....
Ernie Terrell forgave him, & Leon Spinks... Yes one of the most forgotten HW title holders in the history of boxing, speaks about those two bouts with Ali....
This was well done, well thought, and noting was sugar coated.
Just boxers talking about boxing, the times, and the man who they faced!

I got the Ali documentary as a Christmas present, can't wait to check it out.
Very well done movie. Hope you enjoy it! Shows the great side of Ali and the not so Great side of Ali
