Terence Crawford named fighter of the year!![Per fat Dan]

A good choice. I really don't see how people can say Pacquiao should have been the FOTY. He won a second fight that most saw the first his win; and the second fight was against an opponent that should have never been in the same ring a Pacquiao. Most every fan and writter saw the Algeri fight as a bogus fight, and people want to reward him for it... please. To be serious, I wouldn't be surprised if (Fat) Dan would name the Pacquiao/Algeri fight as fight of the year.

Dude he already beat the guy. I don't care about what 2 corrupt/blind paid off judges say, everyone including Pacquiao knows he beat Bradley the first time. So much so that even before the rematch was announced Pacquiao had said he didn't see the need for one cause everyone knows he won. So now one good win over someone you've already beat gets you fighter of the year? Not in my book. A win over p4p number 3 at the time who just beat roidquez Herrera, inoue, Walters deserve mentions

Good choice. Either him or Gonzalez, with Kovalev a strong 3rd. Any of them is a solid choice.

Looking at footage of Crawford's win over Gamboa is pretty embarrassing, he looked at least two weight classes bigger. He was also getting schooled until his size advantage took over. Good win, but let's not act like it was some great achievement. Herrera's year was much more impressive, he schooled Garcia in Puerto Rico and schooled a hot and rising prospect and did it without any special physical attributes. Not his fault the judges were paid off. Picking Herrera as the Fighter of the Year could be a big statement and a big F-U to the corruption in boxing by still awarding a fighter who deserves it, but got cheated on the scorecards. Nobody will have the balls to do it though. Kovalev's shutout over Hopkins is also more impressive than Crawford beating up a midget.

No issue with Crawford being named fighter of the year. I cannot think of anyone who earned it more. Kovalev was up there also for me. No argument from me if either one of them get picked.
