Note: I am not at all saying that these guys are poor fighters. I am just surprised by the wins they have. I wouldn't have expected them to pull out some of the wins they have.
Froch-- I would never have imagine a few years ago Froch would have the resume he has today. Really done well for himself.
Bradley- I think I could have seen a couple of more losses here or there for him other than the Pacquiao 1 which he should clearly have lost a UD.
Garcia-- He's always had it a little tough pulling out the win against good opponents. I am surprised by some of his wins.
Others that you can think of..........
Floyd mayweather. His ability to pick opponent that he has clear advatages over is astonishing. He has a way of convincing the public that his next opponent is "very dangerous" as well.
Nobody is better at doing that than Manny Pacquiao, this is Manny Pacquiao's career in a nutshell
Paulie Malignaggi. Dude has the punching power of a gnat and churned out a career where he actually fought some notable fighters and went on to land a cushy boxing analyst gig.
Brian Sutherland. Landed a fight on Tuesday Night Fights with zero fight experience outside of a bar fight where he got his ass beat for stiffing a dude on a bag of meth.
Good call. He used to be just another guy Manny used to spar in the Wildcard. He has come a long way since..........
He has improved throughout his career but he was an accomplished amateur fighter and was viewed as a top prospect when he turned pro.
Somebody like Herrera comes to mind turned pro late doesn't have a lot of talent in terms of speed, power etc.. but makes what he has work despite multiple losses.
Floyd mayweather. His ability to pick opponent that he has clear advatages over is astonishing. He has a way of convincing the public that his next opponent is "very dangerous" as well.
Shawn Porter-went from a poster on here to world champion
Good call. He used to be just another guy Manny used to spar in the Wildcard. He has come a long way since..........
Salido. Started fighting at 15, took many loses early in his career, and ended up making a name for himself knocking out JM Lopez twice in his home town.
Froch and Bradley are the very definition of overachievers. Neither of them has or does anything special besides their will to win. Somehow they've found a way a hell of a lot more often than they haven't found a way.
