Why is Roy dissing Floyd?? he should feel his pain

I don't wanna start anything racial, but the truth is... It's something my History professor told us (He's black), about African Americans naturally hating themselves and eachother. You will see Floyd getting praise from every other race/nationality other than White/American and African American. In fact what I have learned in person, from college and work, is that the majority of Americans (Black or White) hate Floyd and think he's boring. While most of his actual fans are of other nationalities. In my native country, Dominican Republic, they love Floyd over there. Every Black co worker I have spoken to about Floyd, don't like him and feel Pacquiao is better. While Hispanics are more convinced of Floyd and say he is the best. Again, I don't mean to turn this into a racial thread, i'm just going by my experience. There's literally no African American person I have spoken to that likes Floyd. I'm actually surprised there's some on this site. Floyd is even liked more in the UK than U.S. I suspect he gets a lot of PPV buys from Hispanics. Oh and what a coincidence, my History prof, who's black, also doesn't like Floyd Mayweather. BTW, i'm not saying ALL white/black people hate Floyd, there are exceptions. But exceptions are just that. Are you familiar with the expression "familiarity breeds contempt"?

Looking at some of these comments I feel like i can make a pretty good estimate on how long some people been watching boxing on here HAHA. Yup. I saw somebody give Floyd the same diss that could be applied to Roy back in the day. Top down, I think Floyd's resume is just as good as Roy's to be honest.

Maybe because he feels he tried to fight the best etc etc where as Mayweather has no desire to fight the best. Thats basically what Jones was saying., he also went on and say mayweather is boring as hell and that no one would watch him if he would have fought pacquaio already. That sig lmaoo

Roy never got 30 million plus for his fights, Roy never b*tched about a promoter on a consistent basis, Roy never threw people under the bus who helped his career or his family members, Roy never had Floyd's delusional fan base who will suck Floyd off at any moment he gets a chub. Get real, holy sh*t. Roy's father was the cause of much of Roy's horrendous happennings. Difference was Roy was dominated by his dad until he told him to take a hike, mayweather never really had any respect for his father....can't say if that is a good or bad thing given Floyd's father, but it is a fact. In both cases the dad was tough, bordering on abusive with the son and it worked out in the end. But Roys fans are equally delusional! And Roy's dad threw plenty of people under the bus in the name of helping Roy. I agree that Roy has more maturity than mayweather but they did come up under some similar circumstances.

Why didn't Roy fight Benn, Eubank, or McClellan? 1. Because Benn never really wanted the fight. 2.You must be joking about Eubank?? 3. The MCclellan fight was gonna happen if he had beaten Benn. When both were on top both were/are criticized for not taking the best fights Both while at top were known for going the distance and not stopping opponents Roy for whatever reason never became a huge draw(a great talent and a good trash talker) but never became a huge draw.. Both have defeated several champions in several divisions SO WHY IS ROY DISSING FLOYD??? Roy is an ATG..my favorite fighter before Floyd..but i don't get it Because Floydiot don't make sense.. Floyd tells the national tv that Pacquiao is an easy fight yet he doesn't want to take $150 Million easy fight.. Floyd just can't make up his mind and only ***** thinks that he's got it all figured out.. Floyd has Dissociative Identity Disorder, he says pac is a bum(All floydiots believes this) then the next thing, Pac is on peds and health comes first. Which one is it, easy or Great? people are just catching up and Roy Jones was never this bad so I don't know why he should feel the same?

Roy Jones like any respected black athlete are just voicing their true opinion. There are two sides to Floyd's fans. The educated and the uneducated. 99% who idolizes Floyd are the uneducated. Those are the guys that don't read so they end up in jail for selling cocaine on the street. They repeat anything Floyd say. If Floyd say Pacquiao should not wear a boxing trunk during the fight, like a human dummy they'll repeat that $h!t all over the internet over and over. "Oh oh oh the fight isn't going to happen unless Pacquiao fights Floyd naked!" I'm really thankful for the 1% who sees truth for what it really is. Guys like Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Roy Jones, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler and the lists goes on. Floyd, keep running your mouth with all your scripted interviews over at FightHype.com; so scared of Pacquiao, you can't even sit your a$$ properly on ESPN because you know you can't cover up your cowardness without your scripted lines.

Ya'all must have forgot Both are two of my Top 10 favorites....but I just like Floyd's longevity a little better. It's pretty close though.

Remember roy from 88-03 was in the shadow of Tyson Holyfield Chavez Oscar Foreman plus you also had star power with Lennox Riddick Tito Leonard comebacks Floyd has zero competition but manny in terms of star power, so it's much easier to grab the attention... Floyd wasn't a huge star when Oscar, shane, morales, barrera, prince,tito, Vargas, lennox, roy were headlining PPv cards int the later 90s early 00s

Roy can say what he wants, he beat Hopkins, toney and a hw, all better wins than Floyd and the guys on his résumé like Ortiz and Guerrero, although he didn't knock them all out(richard hall) he beat their ass instead ud after ud. He above anyone can criticize. i don't know man...i could have sworn i saw roy jones, stop virgil hill, as legit a lhvy champ that know of....even hearns couldn't stop that dude...in what 4 rounds? griffin, an actual good lhvy, got stopped in what 1,2 rounds, after giving roy fits in the initial fight...he was toast after that... why these floyd boys think their dude is above criticism by cats that were long reigning p4p dudes themselves is crazy...
