Hypothetically, if Manny Pacquiao retired after beating David Diaz would he have had a hall-of-fame career? Yes or no? Explain.

His welterweight resume is garbage in comparison.
compared to what? I can really tell you are one living in the basement of your parents house and never even been n a boxing gym. go out, and get a life.
junior jones beat barrera twice when he was undefeated and prime does that make him a HOFer
Yes he did. He beat Barrera pretty decisively too. Unfortunaltely for him he was knocked out by Morales, in the next fight, and never really recovered. Had he beaten Morales, and another name, then we're having a different conversation.
Beat JMM, MAB, EM, also beat Ledwaba on 2 weeks notice and was something like a 40-1 underdog. Won the lineal at flyweight by beating Chatchai Sasakul, who beat Yuri Arbachakov who was on the p4p top 10 list.
Pacquiao was a hall of famer way before he faced DLH, Ricky Hatton or Miguel Cotto.
Dude was the best at what disputably was one of the best featherweight/jr. lightweight divisions . When you beat JMM, Erik Morales, and Marco Barrera, twice each, you know you're good.

There are many reasons in my post above, if you read it all. Manny can be seen as a "one trick pony" at the time, but a pony with fantastic footwork, which he had in 2005 and 2006. Erislandy Lara can also be seen as a "one trick pony" with fantastic footwork, and he would probably school Floyd at 154lbs if he got the chance.
Don't underestimate "one trick ponies" with great footwork.
Nah im just referring to why he lost to Morales the 1st time....Manny was so dangerous at the time Its was hard for most to exploit his weakness untill he ran into Morales and he still made Morlaes earn the W
Lets not blame that 1st loss on Blood....Manny was a one trick pony at the time.....

The people who vote no are either haters, or don't know WTF their talking about.
If someone were to go into those divisions now and knock out LSC, Mares, and Rigo, then move up to beat Gonzalez, Walters, and Salido everyone would be singing his praises.
It's exactly what Pac did in those days. Took out solid HOF fighters and tough but not HOF fighters.
In 1999 and 2000, Manny and Erik were both boxing at Super Bantamweight,122lbs. Then in 2000 Erik Morales moved up in weight class.
In 2003, Manny also moved up in weight class to Featherweight to face Marco Antonio Barrera. Erik was also still at Featherweight, in 2003, but he moved up to Super Featherweight in October 2003.
In March 2005, Manny moved up to Super Featherweight, 130lbs, to face Erik. Manny's promoter Murad Muhammad allowed Erik's manager to dictate Manny's types of gloves, and allowing blood to be taken from Manny just 2 days before the fight, both terms bothering Manny mentally in the fight since blood has a symbolic meaning of power in his culture.
In January and November 2006, Manny had two more fights with Erik Morales at Super Featherweight, 130lbs. The main difference was that in the 2005 match Manny was cut over his right eye in the 5th round, and he could't see anything out of his eye. In the second and third fights he could see and land his punches with better accuracy.

The fact he was sent back to 130 by.135 Raheem proved he is belong to 130 not to 135 and your bullshat he was weight drained at 130 is plain dumb. In the second fight Pac was allowed to wear his punching gloves unlike your boy against Maidana plus his improved right hand =ko.
