I was just thinking about this matchup last night. Two cowards... tell me when it gets made so I can block the channel. Thurman is just as boring as Lara is... if the boos didn't wake him up, nothing will. I could care less about him, he is pathetic. Fuk him, fuk his career.

Runner vs runner is usually more entertaining than a fight where one is being chased, thus boring. Runner vs runner meets in the middle of the ring and could produce action.

Showtime isn't put Thurman in with Lara anyway, so there is no point in discussing this fight. Lara should call out Kid Chocolate and try to make it a Cuban battle in NYC where Kid has a bit of a following.

An easy win for Lara. He is one of the two best 154 pounders in the world along with Canelo. I don't see any possible way Thurman could win. Thurman failed to KO a light punching 40 year old who was not ranked in the top ten. He would have no chance to KO Lara and no chance to win on points. Lara would land the jab and straight left many times each round and win a lopsided UD or by KO in my opinion. There are plenty of good welterweights for Thurman to fight but I don't think he can beat any of the top 6 154 pounders.

Lara wins comfortably I think. He would move around and frustrate Thurman, boring UD.

Thurman as he is gets done by Lara. IMO a Thurman who reaches the ceiling of his potential and gets used to 154 goes in as a mild favourite, but we don't even know whether that Thurman will even come into being yet.
