Loeffler trying to make GGG/Lemeuix fight for 2015

Eddie Hearn doesn't promote Andy Lee or Billy Joe Saunders. It would be promoted by Frank Warren, broadcast on Boxnation which is a niche, subscription channel. Excuses. I didn't check before writing... and (evidently) I'm not from the UK in order to know the current stables there. I thought Hearn took them all.

Of course they should fight in Canada... But no matter how big the money is, do you think that Lemieux is ready to take such a huge career risk at the age of 26? I don't. He can take as many interim fights as he needs... nothing will change until GGG gets old enough

Canelo should fight in NY, it's really the only way that fight should be made. Fighting in MSG is expensive, plus the state of NY takes a big chunk out of your revenue. Where MGM pays you to show up and no big taxes and much closer to Canelo's paying fanbase. Fighting in MSG is good publicity, but at this point in time for these two guys probably bad business. I'm getting the sneaking suspicion we may end up with Mayweather-Cotto II.

Canelo should fight in NY, it's really the only way that fight should be made. Eventually, Canelo would have to agree over the MSG venue. And over the date Cotto wants...

I also crossed the agent Cotto in New York after the fight Lemieux and he indicated to me that the negotiations between him and the clan Alvarez for the organization of a fight this spring were not going well. Cotto wants to fight at Madison Square Garden in New York and Alvarez prefer the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. interesting Canelo should fight in NY, it's really the only way that fight should be made.

I wouldn't be so sure. The money HBO will put up for a unification fight for GGG will be a decent wedge. It'll be Lee's most lucrative offer financially. Lee isn't an idiot, if the purse for the GGG fight is enough to see him retire, then he'll take it. His other option is Billy Joe Saunders, which is a risky fight but wouldn't pay as much. Hearn knows how to build big money "home fights" in the UK...

I don't think Lee fights GGG anymore. Now that he has a belt, no point in fighting GGG and losing. Unifying MW is now a lost cause I wouldn't be so sure. Lemieux and his management know they're in a situation where they can make money and wait another year for Golovkin when it'll be worth even more. Any talk for now is just hype they'll use to build other fights. Before losing to Rubio, David was averaging almost 5k people while headlining (and fighting cans). I know before Lemieux wanted Matthew Macklin, I wouldn't doubt that sorry fight still gets made. I don't know about Lee avoiding Golovkin. Andy comes so close to losing alot of his fights, any defense he takes comes with a good chance he'll lose. I think Hearn & DiBella will happily serve him up to GGG for a good price. Where if BJS wins, I forsee Alvarez-Saunders in Vegas.

GGG would love to have a Canadian in Canada in his resume. It must suck to be Lemieux. He cannot escape the GGG name and will have to let the Canadian crowd see him get knockout by GGG. But atleast get paid handsomely for it.

Wanting to fight GGG is like having a death wish. Canelo has stated he is willing but don't know will it happen. We can forget about Cotto. Lemieux should ask for ton of money if he's gonna get knockout by GGG. Should happen in Canada then for HBO money and Canadian PPV.... plus I'm sure the place will draw a good amount

Lemeuix seems solely focused on the WBC since he passed up at IBF eliminator for it. I don't know. Lemieux would make big money if he fights in Canada only. A Cotto fight would have make sense... But in case Canelo gets the WBC belt, Canelo will never travel there and it's very likely that he doesn't "invite" Lemieux in the U.S. soon (the Canadian prospect doesn't have a big name yet)...

I hope this fight don't happen right away but somewhere down the road cos I like both. Lemieux should get a belt first from Andy Lee or Jermain Taylor. I want both to call out Quillin and knock somemore of his teeth in. Lemeuix seems solely focused on the WBC since he passed up at IBF eliminator for it.

If he's not ready now he never will be. This is time. He'll lose but his power is a real threat and he's the hardest puncher Golovkin will have ever faced. Lee is too "gun shy" for Golovkin -- in fact I heard that Lee never let his hands go properly... Golovkin would overwhelm he easily...
