Both guys weer supposed to have "boxed" last night but only one was entertaining. Thurman ran around, trying to land pot shots whereas Khan moved and landed combinations and wasn't afraid of trading.
Khan really impressed and as I suspected Thurman still has tonnes to learn.
What do you guys think?
everyone's going hard on their opinions. 0-100 real quick.
khan out boxing is better than keith but keith power attack is better than khans. if keith decide to strictly outbox khan only, khan will win. but obviously hes not going to do that. the point is merely that in outbox style khan is better than keith. and so yes, thurman can learn a little something. and likewise yes, khan could learn a little of how to fight vs a strong attacker from keith. although the only thing khan needs to be great is a chin and he cant learn that.
but how far will the entertainment take you, if you cant take a punch from the heavy hitters in the division, huh Joker???? and are you telling me thurman wasn't exciting against chaves, soto karrass, or julio diaz? cmon fatman, who you trying to kid here?
aparrently he doesn't do enough to sell himself to the audience, ofcourse there will be huge risk but he want a fame right?? even mayweather was entertaining enough before 2006.
the point is Thurmann had a chance to sell his image the other night but he hesitated and blew it.
McCloskey was literally spoiling and Khan battered Molina and it was far from boring. But you miss my point again, Thurman can't box, he tried and failed. He pot shotted and simply won on activity. There was nothing eye catching in his performance apart from the flash KD. Like I said, don't take it personally mate, it makes you seem weird.
I guarantee you that fight doesn't happen, especially if Maidana is next, cos he will beat Thurman.
I'd bet you your account maidana can't beat thurman either?:firedevil

120-107 on all three cards. He also had a solid amateur career. If you believe Thurman can't box then you clearly don't know what you're looking at (or more likely, you're looking to nitpick to suit your agenda).
I like both fighters, but this is a silly thread. Was Khan's fight with Carlos Molina entertaining? Paul McCloskey? can't always be entertaining.
Both guys pitched a shut-out, excellent performances. If you're desperate to take a shot at Thurman you'll have to come more intelligent than that.

I'm not saying his always boring, I'm saying that thurman was talking about how he wanted to box in there and not just blow guys away or brawl...Khan put on the perfect show of how to box, beat a guy with pure skill and speed and still put on a show. Thurman can learn from that.
You thurman dick riders shouldnt take it personally. this is a guy with his first big step up and was allowing a 40 year old man to push the tempo. thurman is good but like ive said all along, he has another 3-4 fights before he can fight the "names" of the division.

Thurman fights are usually entertaining, stupid thread.
If it was a consistent thing you'd have a point, but it isn't, so you don't.

maybe khan can teach thurman on how to get cheers from american fans
edit: or how to win a world title or how to unify belts or how to be the best in a division
wtf has khan been the best in his division?
Can Khan learn from Thurman, in how not to struggle against Julio Diaz?

yeah, it's not like I'm speaking in tongues or anything
YEAH IT KIND OF IS... I DONT KNOW WHAT H2H IS??? heart2heart,health2health??? idk what you are trying to say?
Thurman has never impressed me.The dude is one dimensional and Khan would box circles round his ass.As i keep saying and getting slated for....Not many people outbox Khan. You literally have to Ko the man to win, that simple!
I agree, I did think Devon would be strong but Khan is big at the weight and really made DA look useless in all departments.
he mean Kahn put an exciting performance jyou ackazz, do you not see the word "entertaining" in his post??? one of the reason kahn has huge fanbase and sell out many arena is because he make exciting fights win or lose. thurmann has to learn that.
styles makes fights and khans chin is not as strong, or as durable as bundu's.... history suggests that.. how can thurmn who has never lost learn from a guy whos has been koed and dropped by all the biggest punchers he has fought??:pat:

Thurman looks good when he can KO opponents (like Soto-K, Chaves, etc.-- face first fighters). Tonight he looked very average, boring, and lost. I kept thinking he was nothing special. It seems like he gets confused against movers and boxers who can change looks. He admitted that much himself postfight.
I have alway said I haven't been impressed yet with Thurman, he has power but he lacked stamina and ring generalship. If someone takes his power then he doesn't know what to do next, no plan B regarding what to do next if he can't KO someone and last night illustrate that perfectly.
He has boxing skills, and that takes you far in this game......
