I think too much is made of the Duran ko,tommy was naturally far bigger than him and he caught him perfectly, but people make him out to be a killer when plenty of the elite took his power easily enough
If OP means that Hearns' KOs were not just the result of raw power but a combination of power, speed, angle and set ups, then he has a point. If he means that Hearns wasn't as big a puncher as people make him out to be, then he's either a troll or extremely ignorant or biased.
any one bragging about hearns ko ing a small lightweight like duran is really reaching for straws. what duran did do is bludgeon iran into a right barkley and would have knocked him out in the 1st round if the bell did not save him the same guy that destroyed hearns. then the little lightweight duran goes 15 rds with hagger and hurts him near the end of the fight. the same hagler who together with barkley gave hearns brain damage. I liked hearns but duran did much more being the much smaller guy where hearns was mostly the bigger guy
Well I suggest you watch Hearns stop big guys like light heavyweight champion Dennis Andries or Lenny Lapaglia. Hearns didn't make a career just beating " smaller guys".
Duran wasn't a lightweight when he fought Hearns, Hagler, or Barkley and it's an ignorant statement.I get tired of reading how fighters apparently never move up in weight.
He wasn't like a golovkin,he did have pop I'm not denying that hes just not the killer make him out to be,he has virtually identical Ko percentage as Calzaghe so that's about his level is say

When did Duran KO Barkley?
And I didn't build up Barkley because he wasn't a Hagler or Leonard. But he's still only a 3rd fighter out of a 60+ fighter career that ended at cruiserweight to stop Thomas Hearns.
So no, Hearns was not easy to knock out. Not even a little bit. Hearns having a glass chin is one of the biggest myths in boxing history.

Tommy Hearns was a welterweight who eventually went up to cruiserweight and carried his punch with him up the entire way.
Hearns' power was real and anyone that doubts that is fooling themselves, Duran or no Duran
yes I could not believe he was ko'd by Iran "into a right "barkley who duran ko'd. you built up haggler and leonard but not barkley hmm

He was stopped 3 times. By Sugar Ray Leonard, arguably one of the 10 best fighters ever, Marvin Hagler, one of the 5 best middleweights ever, and Iran Barkley.
He was pretty f*cking far from "easy to KO."

hearns had good power as long as you were scared of him and stood still while in his range and then he bombed you out. but if you attacked him pushed him back he was easy to KO and he did get ko'd numerous times. sugar ray leonard took everything he had for 15 rounds and never got hurt. I liked hearns the man came to fight

He punched hard for a 147,154 pound man but if you compare him to other 6 foot 2 men I'd say he's a weakling
He punched hard his entire career, which ended up at cruiserweight.
