i really like thurman as a fighter, but when he talks to the media he really rubs me the wrong way. does anyone notice this? i feel like he always a stick up his ass like he's really tense or something. idk i cant put my finger on it. he just gives off a corny vibe to me
He's contradicting himself in the same interview, first saying Khan is the most overrated guy, then lastly saying Khan is the second best after Mayweather on GBP side of the fence.
I like Thurman man, I don't think it's rehearsed, I just think that's him. He obviously wants to fight everybody and you got to give him some respect for that.
But obviously both Alexander and Collazo are better than anyone Thurman has faced thus far in his career.
Maybe he does but I find a lot of these Al Haymon fighters to be very vocal, Adrien Broner being a prime example; I want Pacquaio - would be easy work! I'd bust Matthysse's ass. I want the Maidana rematch and so on
Its easy for them to say knowing Al Haymon will never let them happen.
They're all name calling and when they come knocking they go silent as a mouse just like when Alexander called Thurmans bluff.
I didn't hear anything for months from Thurman, I still haven't.
Seriously hate the way this guy talks and acts its like everything is recited. Its like he recites answers that the media are likely to ask. He is a total try hard.
Zaveck is not better than Collazo and neither is Chaves for that matter.
Khan is one fight into his welterweight run, two saturday both are better than anybody this guy has ever fought.
If any Welterweight is overrated its this guy.

I find it funny how thurman, the most overrated welterweight, is calling someone else overrated. But there is some truth in what he is saying. I like Khan but he hasn't done enough to be rated at welter. If he beats Devon then he's got a better resume than thurman but I still wouldn't go nuts about him just yet.
Yep, the top guys at 147 will bomb him out.
Collazo loses to every solid fighter he faces and Alexander is a small welterweight who had no power at 140...the top guys are on a totally different level from them.
I love Thurman but doesn't really make sense to say Kahn is the most overrated 147lb ' er and then say on this side of the fence it's mayweather and then Kahn?
That's pretty much saying he's not overrated right???
I really like Thurman but he needs to get a title before he comes up with stuff like this.
As for Khan - yes he is overrated (mainly by himself), but he has achieved more than Thurman.
Khan, Thurman, Broner, Porter, Alexander, Brook, Maidana are all decent contenders at 147 and are on same level competitively.
Above them I'd put Bradley and then Manny / Floyd.
Khan's best successes were 4-5 years ago.
I agree, but in away this is not really fair..Khan is just a fight removed from actually moving to WW..Give the guy time, overall resume doe,it's Khan by a miles..So Keith should show him a lil more respect imo..
How is khan overrated? Khan has nothing but haters it seems.
Khan fought and will fight anyone, the only one who doesn't want to fight is Brook.
I would call Rigondeaux overrated, he is very talented but he has only beat Nonito Donaire and gets praised like mad off one win.
Thurman is probably trying to land a fight with Khan hoping dissing him will land him his first big name.
I have to see Keith overcome adversity the way Amir has, that is the only way you can determine if someone is hype or the real deal. Hope to see Keith tested by a top guy soon and see how he handles the challenge.
What's funny is if Khan takes care of Alexander he already has a better resume than One-Time :lol1:
It would be even more funny if Khan lost, wearing his $50,000 golden boxing shorts:lol1:.
Especially with all the talk coming from him before fightnight.
Just add a dancing ring entrance, and KO1.. Perfect!
That would give Broner/Maidana a run for the money :lol1:
Lmao he talks some shyt Keith does, will be embarrassing if his performance is worse than Khans against an opponent who lets face it is less of a challenge than Devon.
This is true, but fck it!
WAR ONE TIME!!! :boxing:
Diego Chavez isn't a bum. Soto-karass ko'd berto...so whoever called Thurman berto2.0 is an idiot. You guys are too much. He's called out plenty of fighters. Only a few return the call
Berto was winning rounds with one arm though...
