Is it Possible that Floyd Mayweather might decide to fight Danny Garcia on 6/13/15?

There's no point in fighting Garcia after he obviously lost the Herrera fight and the Salka fight just made him look like a cherry picker. Oh and ducking Postol doesn't rise his stock high enough to face Floyd. Facing Floyd would just be humiliating but I wouldn't doubt that Haymon would make this fight happen.

i agree. if floyd doesnt sign for pacquiao next then i think he'll try for cotto and that 160 title. without pac thats the only way he can outsell canelo imo. if canelo gets cotto first then garcia in june in NYC is possibly the only feasible option. However if mayweather vs Garcia goes head to head with Canelo vs cotto. It will do more than Canelo cotto because casuals will be huge when it comes to buying the mayweather ppv.

Sure it's possible. Mayweather fights whoever he wants to fight. Fighting the guy who KOed Khan two years ago seems to make more sense than fighting Khan and Garcia should be a popular choice with the fans. Before this thread gets deleted for forcing Floyd to get in the ring with Pacquiao as this site is becoming more and more fighthypescene rather than boxingscene...let me just say that we as a boxing sports fans need to figure out a way how to get Floyd in the ring with Pacquiao A S A P. People are talking about ppv numbers and how Pacquiao can't sell *****. The truth is Floyd won't fight Pacquiao even if the ppv share was 99/1 on Floyd's favor. Barclays Center, if the money is right, is a viable venue for any Mayweather fight, but Danny "Swift" Garcia has yet to be adopted as that "next Puerto Rican star" to even consider chasing the Puerto Rican Day Parade weekend. And Mayweather could use this like how he uses the mexican holidays to this time sell to the PR Fans. Garcia has enough of a fan base for this fight to do decent numbers

Would it happen, probably not, but Mayweather would be the selling point and the fact that he is fighting a PR American fighter is an added bonus.

If Mayweather goes this route though, He will eventually have to fight Pacquiao. He can use Brook having a belt as an excuse. Once he fights if he fights Garcia and Brook, he will then have absolutely no more excuses. He must fight Pacquiao. But if he decides to fight GGG, We really can't question him because it would show a ton of balls for him to fight GGG

If Khan didn't have such a sh1t chin, he would be a threat. Nonsense Khan's chin may not be the greatest, but fair observation will show you that it's more his gameplan that gets him in those situations. Floyd does not have the power of Garcia or Maidana which troubled Khan and I highly doubt it would turn into the type of slugfest that gets Amir in trouble. There is a reason many different boxers and people in the sport say Khan is trouble for Floyd. To say it would end in round 1 is just silly and bandwagon hating on Khan. Danny would be absolutely clowned by Floyd, Khan would actually be an interesting fight. IMO the style that gets Khan in trouble might actually work against Floyd....don't know if he would win, but I think boxing/brawling would be his best bet to pull it off.

It's not Garcia's time yet. Think Al will be smart and 'advise' him towards Soto Karass type fighter next year. Then maybe he will put him in again with Khan. If he does well he will have a natural star that should be able to draw PPV.
