Several British newspapers carrying the story that Dereck Chisora will shortly announce a split with longtime trainer Don Charles.
Chisora to axe trainer Don Charles
Thoughts? :boxing:
I've known Don for over 20 years and to be fair he was always a good guy. Down at the Half Moon he, myself and Danny Williams used to have a good honest and tight unit going on....and then he met Jevron at the 'down by the riverside club' and things were never the same again.
Last i heard he was doing a deal with Monkey Harris and Brendan O'Shaughnessy on the kings avenue. Something about a job lot of louvre doors?
Delboy has done the right thing, Don is well hooky.

charles already said that he'd leave if chisora lost...so
Truth is that Chisora WAS an excellent...gatekeeper.
Everytime he face world level opposition he got at least schooled.
- Vitali Klitschko whipped Chisora for 4 rounds and schooled him for the last 8 rounds with injuries on his left shoulder and right hand.
- Haye knocked out Chisora as soon as he started to get to him.
- In their second bout, Fury badly battered Chisora.
It is however true that the Chisora that faced Fury was clearly not the same that fought Vitali and Haye. But make no mistake, I cannot see how Chisora would have secured victory if he didn't land a "lucky" punch.
A change is as good as a rest, but Chisora is one-dimensional, he's going to do the same thing every time he gets into the ring no matter who trains him.
If he wants to blame anyone, blame Frank for putting him back in with a huge guy who already dominated him in a fight neither of them really wanted.
This is exactly spot on.
