He's been talking about it recently and it seems like he's always been a big dude who cuts a lot of weight.
Do you think moving up to 154 lbs is ideal for Bradley?
This is Tim fighting Vanes in the Olympic trials back in 2004
He's a big dude weight wise and i don't know how he has managed to get down to 140/147 all these years and still compete at a high level. Apparently he was like 185 after the 1st Pacquiao fight and Provo.
he's shorter than pacquiao. with less power.
he has enough names at 147 and 140 to keep him busy.
Not really, he's fought pretty much everyone on the top rank side. For a start there's no way he could make 140 anymore but at 147 I can't think of many realistic opponents that he hasn't already fought.
you got those 2 mixed up son
Lool wtf
He's to small at 154. Can you imagine him fighting Andrade?
Well yeah he would be dwarfed but that's an extreme example.
no. he relies on movement and speed. He already has little power at 147, he would have even less at 154.
He could still beat a lot of 154 fighters, but might lose to the top ones (Lara/Molina/Canelo)
Well said.
I don't think he would do that bad because he would probably have better footwork than the most at 154 and he can throw a ridicolously high number of punches (and he landed 390 on Ruslan while being concussed).
When you look at his size and reach, he's not that small. He only has to give up two inches against the most at 154. As long he doesn't gat crazy and fights a 7 inch taller Andrade, he will be fine. Against a guy like Bundrage he would have a good chance to win a title.
Tim Bradley starts blowing up milliseconds after the fight is over, then molds himself to impeccable form for the next one, he would be a monster at 154, he would have the division shook.

I don't think he'll do well at that weight.
THe good thing would be that Bradley is used to not relying on power already at 147 and 140....He gets in a Prov. type war with somebody like Cotto his Iron chin will be broken in half
5'6" is small for JMW, especially if you're not a hitter. Bradley has good defence when he chooses to use it and that will help. It will be tough for him though, despite his obvious ability.
abregu was the only real welterweight hes fought , at 154 all the champs work him over or spark him out..if timmy had a punch then he might be able to snag one..unfortunately 154 is tough right now no yuri foreman's in the mix lol
