Amir Khan Deserves More Respect

Does he "deserve" a shot at Floyd? Maybe.....maybe not... But Khan gets far too much sh1t around here. Let's look at his career. Gets KTFO by Prescott as a prospect. People still give him sh1t over this. Prescott is like Khan's Singsurat or Corrie Sanders. I never hear people saying Pacquaio needs to avenge the Torrecampo loss. Yes he was the mandatory but look at the recent example - QULLLIN - Khan didn't have to fight this guy but he did. And he dropped him like a sack of sh1t in the first round. Whatever you want to say about Bradley's supposed "promotional issues", it doesn't matter. Khan WANTED that fight. He gave up 50% of the UK revenue. No one here knows who the fuk Tim Bradley is! Even now! Bradley ducks so Khan fights the next available champion - Zab Judah. Wrecks him and tries to get Bradley again - nothing. Faces his mandatory challenger - Lamont Peterson who refused to come to the UK even though Khan was champion. Khan goes to the challenger's home town! Gets deducted ridiculous points and loses a decision. Most people felt he won anyway and there was a man there who was literally HANDLING the scorecards. And he ADMITTED he wasn't supposed to be there. Wtf? No reverse decision.... Khan signs an immediate rematch and again gives up 50% of the UK revenue again! Peterson fails a drug test. Admits he was on PEDs in the first fight. So Khan was taking punches from a guy that was JUICED off his tits.....but people still register that as a legit loss! Khan has been training for months from the UK to LA to the Philippines just to get mugged off by PEDerson. So what does he do? Take a soft touch? No....he chooses the OTHER CHAMPION in his division and the rest is history. One of the only worthwhile things that Max Kellerman ever said was that , "Amir Khan does what boxing fans want a fighter to do and he pays the price for it".

Algieri was recently a champ at 140, clearly recently a Top 5 JWW. He should had fought better, but the fight was okay. It's the fact that Pacquiao shat on Algieri while Lhan struggled. Algieri wasn't ranked in the top 5 either at 140 or 147, ever, let alone when Khan fought him. He was #6 of the top 10 at 140 after beating Provodnikov, then fall off after the Pacquiao loss.

Since Dirk had a drunken meltdown and made this thread, Khan has had a man meltdown and had his balls surgically removed and attached to his mouth. Because he talks so much balls. He's become a guy known for wanting to fight everyone, to a guy who doesn't want to fight anyone and is ducking Kell Brook - thinking he's too big for a champion. The same champion he before the fight said: "If you beat Shawn Porter, I'll fight you" - Obviously picked Porter to win and prayed he would. Was sat with egg on his face after the fight and said: "Look man, let's do it. I'll fight Kell Brook next". The tune quickly changed.

I liked Khan too, I kept giving him chances. Thought the cheap Diaz, Molina, Collazo fights were just the road to better opponents and getting comfortable with his new trainer, not the road to Mayweather. Nope, he goes on to fight Algieri, yet another fighter no where to be seen in the top 10 at JWW or WW. He turned a lot of fans off with that. I really was a Khan fan, not a fanboy, but I did defend him a lot. Between choosing Algieri and thinking he deserves Floyd he turned me off based on that win/performance, and a lot of other fans too. Only one's that still like Khan are some UK fans and some hardcore Floyd fans hyping up Khan's exaggerated skill set and "tools" that we only saw on display against one #10 ranked WW, now former top 10 contender, Devon Alexander. This is exactly where I'm coming from with regards to Khan. You can't keep defending the indefensible. He used to do everything the right way but over the last couple of years, he has turned full b1tch. Ironic that it has coincided with the hiring of a certain manager?

Khan does deserve respect he is a good boxer. The problem is he fought Algeri when it should have been Brook but he knows Brook would have probably ruined his chance at Mayweather and honestly his performance against Algeri wasnt all that impressive and I see no reason why Floyd shouldnt fight him bc it will be a easy victory and a decent purse for Floyd. :boxing:

I'm not Pakistani and I supported Amir Khan for years. Khan blatantly ducked Kell Brook and that much is obvious to anyone who is a fan of the sport and not just one fighter. I call it like I see it, I am a boxing fan first and was a Khan fan second. The only people that seem to continue to defend the indefensible duck are mostly Pakistanis or Muslims who have an agenda just like our buddy, Hanz Goober. One of them literally admitted to being friends with one of Khan's uncles.
