Someone explain how Bob Arum benefits putting Manny against nobodies???

for the #2 boxer in the world Algeirie was a horrible fight for pac man and it became worse when you clowns came on here talking about how good of a win it was making threads that algeirie could beat mayweather. and pac ditching the WW division to go down to 140 while everyone else is looking to move up from 140 not to mentione all the up and coming WWs who look promisinng is even worse but of course it will be defended because its pac man. he needs to fight a champion or solid WW next jesse vargas even being mentioned is sad. i honestly think manny and bob arum is BOTH using eachother. people complain that bob is ripping manny off but manny doesnt really have to do much to get paid. manny gets a guarantee of $20mil or so every fight. some argue that he should be getting more and bob is ripping him off. but for a guy like manny who came from nothing, do u think he wont be able to benefit from $20mil while doing basically nothing but train and show up to fight? bob does all the talking, promoting, etc. bob uses manny's name and fame to get paid while manny uses bob's connection and knowledge to get paid in return.

I scratch my head everytime i think about Manny signing back with Arum how so?? i am a pac fan and honestly i think manny wont be able to handle being on his own and by all means i am not trying to justify pac staying with arum. he doesnt have the knowledge and people around him to get the job done for him plus he has too many stuff on his plate. if he decided to go out on his own i give him a year max before it all crashes down. staying with arum, manny doesnt have to do anything. all he has to do is show up to the photoshoot and the press, then go train and show up and collect his check on fight night. why would someone in manny's position with 20 different things on his mind decide to leave bob and add more shiiet to his "to do list"? look at the other guys, floyd and cotto, what other duties do they have in their life besides boxing?

Bob Arum is not stupid when it comes to money...he knew Manny last PPV would have bad numbers but he did it anyway...And He knows Manny VS Vargas will bomb worst. With the gates, PPVs, sponsorships and site fees paid by the host of the fight, Arum makes a ton of money on Pac fights. However, in spite of what he says, Bob Arum doesn't actually pay Pacquaio $20 million per fight as he claims. The idiots on this site believe everything Arum tells them, but the contracts submitted to the commissions don't lie. So Arum will make anywhere from $30 to $50 million off of a Pac fight. He only pays Pac $6 million plus a percentage and walks away with $20 to $30 million in profit for himself. Why do you think he refused to make Pacquaio/Marquez V? It was because Marquez was demanding too much of the profits and Arum is not going to stage a fight where he does not walk away with 80 percent of the money.

Pac's win over Bradley is close to that and I see Rios/Algeri being even with 2 fights with Maidana(not in terms of excitement). Pacquiao is a WW as much as Floyd is a Jr. Middleweight. i think he could get a greater share of the money with in-house fights? also it raises the profile of top rank signed fighters when they fight pac .....or keeps the fighters wanting to stay under top rank if they think they could fight pacquaio in the future but manny got paid a lot for algeiri 23 mil guarantee not including ppv cut and back end I would highly doubt there is any backend or ppv cut with numbers that low... I'm sure he has to hit a quota before seeing a residual.

Alex Ariza has already answered that question. Bob controls the books on all Pac fights, this allows him to keep Manny in the dark about how much he should REALLY be making. If he co-opts with a big promoter on a Pac fight, then he must open the books to more eyes, and those new eyes would know how much he is screwing Manny. Manny has to not care....im pretty sure somebody has told him about him being screwed...hell even Floyd brought it up. And he re signs with him..Manny clearly doesnt care too much about money
