Pacquiao should be FOTY 2014

It's sad that this is a serious thread. FOH....the Bradley win was good, but Algeri???? If an up and comer best these 2, that would be different, but Manny, like Floyd, should be held to a higher standard. Some of u Manny fans are a damn joke....

That's a good point. Rigondeaux beat up Donaire, then Donaire had a very tough fight with Darchinyan. Bradley lost to Pacquaio then had a war with Ruslan. Bradley did beat Marqeuz though, although I felt that could have gone either way. Yeah exactly. It was pretty much exactly the same. Obviously, Bradley then beat Marquez in a close fight which was a good win. Donaire went up in weight to grab another belt against Vetyeka who beat Chris John. Also a good win. Also, Lara was a good win for Canelo even if it was a disputed decision. This whole talk about Bradley being win of the year.. I mean it's hypocrisy really.

Didn't Mayweather also beat Maidana whom he thought he already beat also? Albeit not as impressive as Bradley right? Simply put both Pacquiao and Mayweather are running out of options to fight and inevitable is clear and obvious. THEY MUST BOTH FIGHT but alluding to this thread's topic, Pacquiao fighting 2x and in the fashion of beating up both undefeated fighters in Bradley and Algieri, you would have someone hard-pressed beating these for this year's FOTY award... What does Floyd/maidana have to do with this thread? Manny's win was more impressive. I surely am not thinking Floyd should win FOTY. FWIW, last year when Floyd won BWAA FOTY I said he shouldn't have won. Crawford, Kovalev, Gonzalez all had better years. If beating a guy almost everyone thought you had already beaten and a 14-1 underdog should not put you in consideration for FOTY. Crawford beat 3 top contenders. He deserves it. Pac shouldnt even be in consideration

lol smh, the fact they are defending the algirei win and are trying to hype it up yet call other fighters cherry pickers is what sold me, they are insane and unapproachable... all of a sudden bradley has become an ATG and they focus on his ranking at #3 when pac beat him, (AFTER THEY DOGGED HIM OUT FOR GETTING GIFTS AND HAVING NO POWER) yet we cant defend fighters who beat highly ranked fighters using the same logic????? you are not really making sense any more in this thread. Manny is the WBO WW champ. this year he beat a guy everyone thought he beat already and a JWW 14-1 underdog. Both were undefeated officially. IMO and of many others, this is not enough for FOTY consideration. Beating Tim and ALgieiri at WW (and 144) would not put any of the top WW's in position for FOTY primarily because following a Tim win with ALgieiri is such a steep drop in competition. Nope, its because everyone on here except maybe a few felt tim got gift wins against pac and provo.......he literally got no credit for those wins.. the same with algieri, everyone was saying robbery when he beat provo.. everyone had bradley winning the provodnikov fight some just argue the not counting of suppossed knockdowns

How would he legitimately be p4p no.3 to you when you say he got gift wins over pac and provodinikov???? well after the bradley "loss" pacquiao was moved down from #1 despite everyone considering it a robbery the list makers seemed to feel it had to be addressed and not ignored, so pacquiao goes down, bradley up, then bradley beats ruslan and puts on an impressive "technical" performance vs pacquiao's conqueror thus p4p #3 and the odds leading up to the pacquiao rematch being more or less even, bradley had alot of belief behind him, unlike the first fight being a 6-1 underdog
