I've never seen a more blatant fix of a fight in recent years as Bellew vs Cleverly II. Any fix is bad but this was a complete slap in the face to boxing fans.
I've tweeted Bellew, Cleverly and Hearn saying it was a fix. I hope a few more people do as well, so they realise they can't pull **** like that. Complete fix to get a trilogy on the cards. Tweet and let them know we are not stupid!
The fight was shit, but it wasn't fixed.
If that fight was fixed then all fights in boxing are fixed. Go away.
Well you've shown yourself to be a c**t with a response like that, little child :)
Haye vs Harrison and Wlad wasn't fixed, just mis-matches. Big difference. Cleverly already proved that he can beat Bellew. You are obviously not educated on both fighters or watched all their fights like I have, so you are missing my point.
Why would they try and get a third fight by completely stinking the place out? Now they've made sure absolutely nobody cares about another fight. As for suggesting the Millenium Stadium, Clev must have damaged his brain because it isn't going to happen.
It's easier to do what they did than to fake knockdowns etc in my opinion. All they must of been thinking is to make it look close and make sure it was 1-1. No way would Cleverly let that fight go like that if he REALLY wanted to win. Both had this planned out for ££££££
Eddie Hearn, Barry Hearn, Bellew, Cleverly etc have not even responded. I was hoping for some sort of denial but nothing at all. Other people have asked as well. I was hoping to force them to answer the accusations. I re-watched the fight again today and compared it to every other Cleverly fight and it stinks even more. I know it was a different weight but that just doesn't cut it to me.

Didn't pay for it, so I don't have any complaints. It was a stinker, but I put that down to a combination of Bellew talking up the fight and Cleverly being broken by KOvalev.
It wasn't explicitly fixed imo.
Boxing is just a corrupt sport and the BBBoC officials are some of the most inept in the world with zero accountability.
After the fight Hearn seemed to imply that there wasn't much demand for a third fight. The idea that it fills the Millenium stadium is utterly ridiculous. But Bellew and Cleverly both wouldn't mind the money so that's why they deludedly floated the idea.
What pissed me off most was talking to some of the press scorers after the fight on the broadcast. Not one condemned the split decision, and some of them could see how Terry O'Connor scored the fight for Nathan.
The whole thing is such an old boys club, they probably know him and will have beers with him afterwards so are less inclined to call him out on his utter ineptness.
Kinda unforgiveably I haven't watched the fight yet (and it took place less than an hour's drive from where I live), but wasn't there some suggestion that Cleverly hurt his hand at some point?
I'll have to actually watch it, but in most cases calls of fixed fights can easily be attributed to other factors. I was expecting a UD / SD for Cleverly but was myself doubtful since he hasn't faced anyone of even mediocre talent since his move to CW.
Anyways - I'll try to find it now and give it a look over - maybe comment afterwards.
Let me know what you think mate. I was a million percent convinced Cleverly would win on points but it was like watching someone else in there and then straight away it was talk of going to the Millennium Stadium for a third fight. Clev could of won that fight easily if he wanted, yet didn't.........Can't shake the feeling of a fix.

He was drunk and didn't train
He was breathing hard in the post fight interview
Lest we forget there's also his athlete's diet. Spaghetti Bolognese with refined white pasta and mash potato and gravy from the local chippy!
"Can I have my usual please love?"
"Course you can darling I'll bring it over."
"Champion!"
I'm not buying this about Cleverly. He was in great condition as his body showed. He has never fought like that before. He has always had a high work rate. He didn't want to make himself look bad, so he won the first half and then let Bellew dominate the second half. If he would of fought 70% like he usually did for the second half, he would of won easily.
Hearn etc really must think we are just dumb boxing fans. I've called them out on it and I was just hoping a few more people would as well for the good of the sport.
I wouldn't be surprised. Cleverly was either drunk or he was there to collect his cheque.
The first thing he started going on about after the fight was a third bout at the Millennium Stadium....LOL yeah right Clev. Lay off the booze, son.

No fix. Bellew was right. Cleverly was afraid to get hurt hence, rarely threw the right. Everytime he did, he put his head closer to Bellew's gloves. He basically spent all night trying to fend off Bellew with the jab. Cowardly display. Still took a beating.
It crossed my mind. It was the way that Cleverly was throwing and missing his jab. I stopped thinking about in the mid-rounds and later on when Cleverly became more stationary and took a pummeling that lasted a number of rounds.
Have to remember how bad Kovalev wrecked him - he could have just been gunshy to the extreme (like Bute for example) and just content on surviving and working through the demons of Kovalev. That is how I left the fight, but fix did cross my mind can't lie. Score for Cleverly is unforgivable.
