This victory didn't look that spectacular, just saying.
Certainly am not knocking the guy yet but it's WAY too early to be getting too excited.
He's definitely on a better path than Wilder already though. And that's hilarious when you consider Wilder's fight count is in the 30's now.
Fights with his feet nailed to the floor and steps straight back with his chin up, but I suppose power negates those *****s in hit style until he moves up in competition.
Definitely looks better than Audley Harrison at the same stage in his career.
lol :lol1:
Just watched it again, yeah it actually was a fair stoppage you're right. I missed that he was so wobbly after in first viewing, Watt definitely overreacted though. One of the best shots Joshua landed when he had him against the ropes was that body shot, crushing punch and it really opened Sprott up. Very impressive combinations there.
Very impressive switches to body and head for sure. Will be interesting to see if he can maintain that kind of attack against higher level opposition.
Well, if you look at the video the ref was completely misplaced and after Sprott had gone (let his hands down), Joshua got in a free left hook. Sprott couldn't stand afterwards, so I really can't see how it was stopped early.

I thought it may have been stopped a little early but I can live with it, I have no idea what fight commentator Jim Watt was watching? He was acing like the ref let Sprott get slaughtered. He stopped in pretty quick IMO, Watt then started taking jabs at the refs weight lol

Damn ref stepped in a bit early. At least give the dude a chance to make it out of the round.

Apparently, he suffered a concussion, so I don't think so.
I want to see someone test his chin. He showed better mobility (albeit brief) in this fight.
He's fighting Kingpin next, should be a good step up and hopefully he'll get some rounds.
Johnson always complains about not getting enough time to prepare, but apparently this deal was done a long time ago for late january, so he'll have 10 weeks or so to get himself into shape.
That kid is huge! How about Wilder vs Joshua? the battle of the question marks!
Wilder needs to step and fight a guy like Bakhtov before fighting someone like Joshua :lol1:
