They didn't release anything official in the Guerrero fight. They didn't release one in both Maidana 1 and 2 fights. Espinoza already made it clear: Showtime is no longer releasing any number unless it made 2 million or more.
Which means the Canelo numbers were way over exaggerated. How did it go from 2.2 million to probably 500K - 600K or less?
Let's be honest. After glove gate, people finally figured floyd out. Usually everyone I know is talking about who is gonna have the fight? For the rematch, nobody cared. It was barely mentioned.
I heard 1.3M from a high-level cable executive.
Sure you did .....if that were the case, we would have heard them shouting from the rooftops about how good it sold. I'd say it's half that number...
The fight was 3 months ago and I still haven't heard what the buys was.
Probably didn't do 600,000 who would want to order a fight when a guy is crying about gloves
i don't believe any of the ppv numbers from any of the sources. i'm sure there are some correct ones out there, but for the most part i feel as though they are fabricated. promotors lie. low ppv numbers are going to be bad for ppv sales moving forward. people say, "nobody else bought this, why did i?"
I thought the fight was 2 months ago? And I don't think Showtime would ever release anymore of their numbers according to Espinosa or whatever his name is.
