I have no clue why people dislike him so much. People say he's annoying yet in terms of trash talk the pacquiao camp have said way more *****. Some butthurt ruslan fans still can't get over a power puncher losing to someone who used boxing skills to beat him.
One thing I will say is it seems premature for Algieri to take this fight. However those who say he doesn't deserve it seem to ignore that pacquiao, who was in the welterweight division, was the one who picked Algieri. Pac fans seem to trash Algieri and say things like pac ko in 1 or 3, etc. and praise pacquiao. But if that is what you think will happen then that would make this a mismatch. So why praise someone taking a mismatch.
Some people seem to be hating the fact that Algieri has a university degree and is well educated. This guy has done very well for someone of his background considering that boxing is mainly a working class sport.
Some seem to love saying putty pat punches while ignoring that ruslan couldn't just walk through the punches and cut off the ring.
Let's be honest we would all rather see pac vs danny garcia or mayweather or another ww. But what I'm saying is that all this hate seems unwarranted. People here are talking about Algieri as if he killed their mother of something.
These are the two types of people who hate him:
The Flowmos because they have to hate on anyone Pac fights
The men who are insecure and jealous of Chris good looks and intellect
The normal boxing fan doesn't hate him they just say its a high risk low reward fight for Manny and it shouldn't be on PPV.
He talks too much. Yet he's not really proven - yeah, provo failed to knock him out with only his left - but there's Pac coming and provo revanche (what if provo decide to punch him with his right?) is a real perspective..
Who's hating on him?
I see the opposite. Despite the lack of a deep resume, he is being touted as a serious threat by boxing media.
I listen to thaboxingvoice and they had a show on Thursday and the host and many callers were picking algeiri to win.
I would say that it seems some white fans on nsb of white fighters play a victim role. Seen it with wlad, kovalev, and now algeiri.
Naah, don't compare it to the Post-Soviet fanboys. They are not playing any kind of victim role. More likely the opposite of it. Some of them think that the Post-Soviet fighters are the gods of boxing, better than Mexicans, Americans and everyone and the slavic people naturally very strong and born to boxing and xy fighter couldn't beat any slavic fighter only because in the recent few years Russians and Ukranians (+Golovkin) had success in boxing ... In fact they had success based on their well amateur system not because "genetics" just like in the case of Cuba, Mexico or literally every single succesfull country in boxing.
There is really nothing to hate about him really, it's a cherry pick garbage fight
What I hate is his new found gay ass fan base that slob this guys nob every chance they get
I don't know is it because he wanks off in his mum's basement?
Maybe it's because he jumped in to a Pac fight of a fight he wont closely
And thats a reason to dislike the guy? Wow! What was he supposed to do, say 'Sorry, I cant take this vast sum of money to fight the best fighter in the world because it might affect the sensitivities of floydgimpers on the interwebs'.:pat:

That's because those callers are morons

Algieri looks good punching a heavy bag; Manny is not a heavy bag. The fight is a farce and is bad for boxing. There is no athletic commission in Macau. That means that no matter what happens, Manny will come out the victor. Even if Algieri outboxed Manny 8-4, Manny would still win. But, that's not even possible because Algieri simply isn't any good. This is fodder for Pac Tard nation and nothing more. A black eye for the sport.
At least we get to see Manny beat up on the kid though, and Lomo fights as well. You're a sucker if you purchase the PPV though.
who's hating on him? can you post some quotes?
most people just think the fight is bull****, a relatively unknown guy who gets a close decision over provodnikov isn't the type of opponent Pacquiao should be fighting, and I don't wanna hear about this cold-war nonsense, money talks, bull**** walks, a guy in Manny's shoes/Arum's shoes can fight whoever the **** they want, they're choosing to limit their options to in-house fights because it's more bread for them
that dwyer sig is great

I didn't even know he was hated!!
But if people saying PAC by Ko rd 1,3,4 whatever that's just because they're PAC fans.... Not because they hate Algieri!
In saying that though what the fu@k would I know! I generally avoid PAC and floyd threads!
