There a lot of people liking the idea of this fight and there is people who are just biitching and moaning that it should not happen...
personally i feel the fight will happen...i mean the WBA have Briggs ranked at number 7....
but would you pay for the ppv???
The Briggs thing is funny but it's beyond depressing how many simpletons actually fell for it and want to see the fight now.
Why even bother climbing the ranks when you can get a million dollars and a title shot just for acting funny without a shirt on?
There are 30+ heavyweights in line ahead of Briggs, that unexplained #7 rating one of the alphabets gave him after he started making it onto TMZ is just shameful.

who in their right mind would buy this as PPV, its not even PPV in Europe, his fights are shown on TV in germany and eurosports elsewhere
Hmm... let's look at the top 10.
- Pulev
- Povetkin
- Stiverne
- Fury
- Jennings
- Wilder
- Glazkov
- Perez
- Arreola
- Chisora
Wow, Wlad has fought a massive 1 guy out of all these fellas. Does that equate to 'pretty much everyone' these days? Add to that, in the one fight he has had against a top 10 contender, he fouled so much it caused Henry Akinwande to stand up and say 'seriously, too much'.
Guys like Wach, Mormeck, Leapai, Pianeta etc etc were never in the top 10, never will be and nobody ever asked for those fights.
Come on man....You know that he already destroyed Povetkin. He fights Pulev on Saturday.
Fury and Chisora II is happening as is Wilder vs Stiverne.
Arreola don't deserve a shot.Jennings and his people turned down the fight last year(he will be ready soon,he can scrap).
Glazkov just fought Adamek. He might be next for Vladdy KO.
Perez is coming off a loss.
Certainly the winner of Wilder vs Stiverne should be first or winner of Fury vs Chisora II.
Whilst elements of that might be true, each of those fighters would have been heaps better than the fighter he actually fought - at the time as well. There's others too like Solis, Takam, Ustinov, Dimitrenko, Mansour etc. Those would also have been better.
But it is what it is. I'm happy Wlad is fighting top contenders 2/3 times.
Yeah, probably better...but not really by much. Division just isn't particularly good or deep, we know this...and we also knows theres a whole lot of **** which gets in the way of fights getting made behind the scenes. Most of which we don't even see.
If Wlad ends his career fighting the current top guys who are decent talents coming up, I think he deserves some big respect and if he steamrolls through then I think it will enhance his legacy nicely and be a treat for the fans. I just hope we don't have these situations where fights are called for and then the opponent gets slated as a bum if Wlad dominates him.
To be fair, a lot of those guys, infact most you mentioned, have only recently climbed into the top 10 list. Perez was pretty much unknown before the Mago fight, Glazkov wasn't really a true contender till the Adamek win, Wilder has been on a bum feast to work up the easy way, Stiverne was mando for the WBC and wanted that title fight for a long time, Arreola coming off a defeat to Stiverne and already beaten down by Vitali...well, you see my point.
Of course those guys Wlad fought weren't great, but they are explainable for the most part with mandatory obligations/lack of availability or willingness from better contenders to fight Wlad at that time.

This ^.
Wlad shouldn't even consider fighting Briggs. I understand his guilt for the beat down Vitali served, but if he gives Shannon a shot, he might as well fight Evander Holyfield, too, and completely sh1t on the division.
Yup.
The presser would be fun though.
Some of Wlads defenses?
He has fought pretty much everyone who else is there for him to fight If he beats Pulev that people wont try to down play... ?
Hell people are even trying to down play this fight for some odd reason, saying Pulev is a soft touch its moronic.

It would be over quick ...As in the first round
The press conferences would be more worthy of ppv than the actual fight

It really wouldn't.
Both of those guys would disgrace the heavyweight championship by fighting, and I wouldn't like to put my dollars down for that.
I probably wouldn´t even watch it, as I don't watch many of Wlad's fights these days.

There's no way in hell I'd ever entertain paying to watch Wlad hugging and clinching his way to victory against anyone, let alone when he's fighting an unranked bum who's 42 years old. Haha.
unranked bum you say>?? http://www.wbanews.com/wba-ranking
what do u say now !!!!!!:boxing:
I wouldn't pay much, but it'll be worth a few dollars.
The result wouldn't be pretty.
I don't really hate Briggs, he's a funny guy and was one of the players in the era I grew up with.
He is obviously suffering from early onset pugilistic dementia and a fight with Wlad will put him in a home I reckon.
It wouldn't be such a good fight.
More like a punching bag with eyeballs that, because of his hard chin, will sustain far more damage than his cerebrum can handle.
