Technically speaking, I'm of the opinion that Floyd doesn't throw it that much better than other fighters do. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of fighters out there that if you were to ask them to throw a straight right hand they would throw it with technical correctness.
However, I don't think there is a current fighter in boxing who has mastered the intangibles of a single punch quite like Floyd 'Money' Mayweather has with his right hand.
Sure, there are fighters out there who can hit harder than Floyd, but in terms of the setup - using feints and footwork to force his opponents into certain positions- and the delivery -mixing up the targets both high and low and narrow and wide in order to keep his opponents guessing as to where the next one is coming from, he stands alone.
It's a great right hand. Best thing about it is Floyd's ability to emphasize it's perceived effectiveness. The way in which he'll land a single right hand and dramatically roll out and triumphantly reset really sells it to the fans and the judges. He gets more credit for those right hands than any fighter gets credit for any other scoring punch in boxing. People think he's utterly dominating after he lands only two or three.
I disagree. its quick and accurate but its not even nearly powerful enough to dissuade fighters from attacking. its his speed and defense that wins fights. to have a great all around right hand you need to be able to inflict serious damage with it. I think wladimir has the best right hand in terms of accuracy timing and power. he obviously doesn't throw it as often but he gets fighters respect when he lands it and often puts them on there backs. floyds just isn't powerful enough to be considered the best

Floyd's greatest achievement to date no doubt!
I wonder if beating up his women counts on his undefeated record??
Floyd Mayweather, best right hand in boxing.. :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
the woman he beat up probably has a harder right hand. anyone who thinks mayweather has even close to the best right hand in boxing should be banned for stupidity.
Floyd going to jail for betting his wife in front of his kids was better!
floyd getting beer thrown at him after a fight was just as good, maybe better:headbang:
Floyd getting beat up by Maidana was great

expect the tmt ref bayless to go on the offensive next fight and hold the opponents arms behind his back while floyd lines up some free shots, best right hand doe. SMH
maybe in the past he had a great one but now his timing is way off, he was falling for maidana faints and throwing it full force lol and missing everything not even clipping maidana at all lol that how his ass almost got knocked out.
I mean if his oppenents hands are down and not looking he has a decent one yeah.

Wow, that right hand Chino hit Mayweather with would've surely knocked him out or atleast down if he wasn't wearing the pillows Mayweather made him wear.
His legs were gone the next round, if he would've landed it earlier, he might've been stopped.
He still has the ability to lead with the right hand which not everyone with good right hands can do...so it might have diminished a little but it's still a great weapon

Definitely agree, well put. It's not as straight either, he was missing over the top quite a bit....Maidana rematch was one of his worst performances on an individual level imo.
