Amir Khan: most overrated fighter in the last 10 years

This guy has to be the most talked about, hyped up, overrated guy in recent memory. His best win is against Marcos Maidana for Christ sake. Beat a shot MAB, Paulie, and Zab. That's it...where are all these great wins his fans seem to think he has? He got knocked out vs Garcia and Prescott and went life and death with Peterson. He's just not that good and it's fairly obvious to anyone without a rooting interest in him. A win over another so so fighter in Alexander(with no pop) should not put this guy anywhere near a Floyd fight. Fight Thurman,Porter,Brook,etc....get knocked out once again...

Khan is a very cool guy, with a nice personality. I like the way he boxes, win or lose. But beating Floyd at this point, I don't know about that. I'll be rooting for him against Alexander, tho.

As soon as Khan becomes a "risky" fight for Floyd, out roll the threads trying to make him seem "unworthy" of fighting Floyd, therefore he can be ducked given this, albeit lame, excuse. Well done Floyd.. Already expect rumours of steroid tests and punchers gloves to surface in the near future ;)

Khantards accuse Floyd of avoiding fast fighters, when Khan hasn't fought a hard puncher since Garcia. Not just Khantards(whatever they are), but everyone and they are correct. Floyd does avoid fast fighters(as well as anyone approaching threatening). Its just silly to say that Khan avoids punchers since Garcia. Garcia isnt even the hardest puncher he's fought. Dislike the guy if you must, but thats pretty daft.

It's great watching him jump in with his blazing speed, throw his 2 fisted pity pat worthless punches, then get hit once and look like a baby deer taking its first steps falling all over himself. Where do people get the idea that Khan is some master boxer? He got outboxed at points against old Julio Diaz. And Khantards keep talking about Khan's height, when he's only an inch or two taller than Floyd. How in the hell is Khan even still relevant? Since losing to Garcia, he's fought Carlos Molina, old Julio Diaz, and shot Luis Collazo. His last meaningful win was in 2011. How the **** is he even in the running for a Floyd fight?

khan is extremely overrated. his best win is fricking maidana. dont confuse popularity with being overrated. He is POPULAR because he has appeal. No serious boxing fan of Khan has delusions that he's some sort of elite A class fighter.

Khan isn't nearly as skilled as his fanboys think he is. He struggled against shot Julio Diaz, and go KO'd against Danny Garcia. I agree with OP. Khan is ridiculously overrated. I'm going to be honest, I never saw anything special in Khan. He doesn't have anything besides speed. Without his speed, he has a glass jaw, and a low ring IQ. He is a top 10 fighter in any weight class he is in.

hes not overhyped, he has the attributes to become a top fighter. No one is deluded enough to think he is elite, people are waiting for him to progress to his potential. So far he has gotten worse without Roach and needs to convincingly beat Alexander so we can gauge his progress
