No way I see Floyd beating Duran. Duran is a complete fighter, power in both hands, great defence while coming forward, he would out work Mayweather, possibly stop him late. I see it going down like Castillo vs FLoyd, but Floyd would also get countered all night on the inside, possible even hit the canvas, or even somethig like Duran/SRL You can't say Floyd would do this or that, simply because Duran fought in a level of competition miles completely above Floyds, it's laughable to say because he did this to guys like Corrales/Boldamir/Hatton/Mosley he would be succesfull. Might as well say Garry Russel Jr would beat ATG's from the way he was destroying TBA's. Talent is there, but we dont know how good the fighter actually is until he fights another great fighter. Not to mention Duran's expertise in shifting. I can't think of any opponents with the killer instinct and the shifting skills Duran had. Not saying Floyd gets knocked out. Hell not giving the fight to Duran either but with out a doubt Duran would be the toughest opponent for Floyd at LW

I would call it stylistic fights. Put Floyd in with a Lara or even Rigo he'll look like rookie Canelo. Rigo cant fight on the inside. He's one dimensional. Lara sucks. Both of those fighters can only do so much. Floyd can do it all. I think your looking at it to say if Floyd were to walk them down they would run and make him chase. But thats only with big aggressive fighters like Canelo who got walked down. I think those fighters would stand in the middle of the ring with Floyd. I'm with you, man..... Great post here. You know your stuff. Manny is 143lbs right now, which indicates that he's not a welterweight, but that he's a lightweight. He can fight at higher weights because of his athleticism. He's a special fighter. Now, those who think Manny and Floyd are the same size, are idiots. This is the proof right here. The truth is, he has a couple of MAJOR flaws that would cost him against ATG fighters. Lack of punch output, vulnerability to the jab, he gives you his body. Floyd's defense is also overrated. He is a reflex fighter who moves his upper body laterally to avoid punches. He doesn't have the legs of a great boxer. He's also never been a "runner", either. Bottom line, he would lose to a lot of ATG fighters for the reasons mentioned above.

The Judah that stopped Spinks beats any fighter in history below 147. Pacman and Judah dont have a plus minus of 30 though do they? Floyd only has a handful of fights where he struggled. Then went on to fight guys bigger, faster, and stronger than the guys he struggled against and did them dirty. Floyd has the top 3 plus minus in boxing history. Everytime I say that you ignore it. The only fighter in history that can beat Floyd is Pac and Pryor thats the reason he ducked Pac and thats the reason he likes Pryor so much. He dont even respect SRL. Yeah, at some point he'd have to stand and fight and that would be extremely difficult. Just rewatched that fight, I really think that was an extremely underrated win for Floyd. People forget that Corrales at the time was undefeated and steam rolling guys at 130, Floyd made it look easy and absolutely outclassed him. I've never seen such a clinic at that weight. Agreed.
