Simple question. Who do you feel will have a better career.
I think Wilder has the better RAW power but Ruiz is the better boxer. Don't let the pudgey-ness fool you.
I pick Ruiz
This is like using bodies as an example to say Seth Mitchel would have a better career than Arreola and we know how that went. You have to use more than just looking at the body, otherwise all those physical specimens that fought Arreola would have beaten him like Mitchel and Witherspoon. Many heavy and fat fighters have stood over athletic fighters while the athletic fighter was being counted out. I wouldn't be surprised if a guy like Ruiz knocked out a guy like Wilder, let alone have a better career. Or the reverse.
Andy gut tells a story of a fat pig
you cant take that guy serious you cant be that fat with flab moving like waves. Andy has that beer and hamburger gut not that ped to the gills gut wahaha. Should lose the weight and go down a weight class

I want to see him under 240lbs. I'm curious to see if losing weight will work in his favor by improving his hand speed and reflexes or if it will work as a disadvantage by diminishing his power and his ability to absorb punches. If present day Andy is the best of Andy, than he will never be champ.
Wilder will get further on his size and power alone. Andy Ruiz Jr is just a circus attraction, hes not half the skilled boxer he is made out to be. Most are caught up he has good handspeed considering he is such a chunk.
Tor Hamer was effortlessly outboxing him before he randomly quit.
This pretty much explains the only reason I think Ruiz is interesting.

Ruiz is a fat, poor mans Andrey Fedosov

Ruiz is good. Wilder seems like more of a hype job, but we shall see.
I've seen them both fight and was more impressed by Ruiz. Wilder is 6'6 260. He's ****ing clubbing these tomato cans like a caveman.
Wilder. I don't see people being interested in Ruiz Jr. because he's not aesthetically pleasing to look at. He has the worst physics in any heavyweight contender. I also don't think he can get past the top guys. He won't last long in boxing because of his physique. Arreola's career will be better than Ruiz Jr.'s.
He has an intriguing skill set for his height in the HW divison. It's just his physical health & shape is likely limiting his ability for his body to perform at its highest potential.

Bullsh*t, what has Andy Ruiz done to elicit this sentiment? He's fought mediocre completion, he's relatively inactive for an up-and-coming prospect and he's always out of shape. Plus, this next era of heavyweight boxing will be a good one with all the talent flowing in. You got Anthony Joshua, Joseph Parker, Hughie Fury, Bryant Jennings and a lot of established fighters like Wilder, Stiverne, (Tyson) Fury, Pulev, Povetkin et al.
True, I overstated what I said. I meant I'm sure he can be a quality (fringe) contender or maybe even challenge for a title once Wlad is gone given Ruiz shows us he belongs there in the future.. he just needs to get in real shape. His best win is currently Joe Hanks, hopefully he makes step ups to former title challengers soon. He's been beating up on guys that have challenged for those paper 3rd tier belts as of late. He had a fight yesterday against mediocre opposition, but hopefully things start moving for his career because his last fight I saw was against Tor Hamer and it was a bull**** fight.
Ruiz gets in real shape he has a shot at becoming a great in this current era.

how the f-ukk is ruiz a good boxer? he was getting sh-itkicked around the ring by tor hamer until hamer got hit once and instantly quit on his stool like every other fight he has had.
Andy Ruiz has gone 8 rounds already and we have to see if Wilder can do 8 since he hasn't even finished 4 and to do that with his chin and pencil legs. Both guys have serious in-the-ring questions to be asked. More like a coin toss for now.
