Provodnikov knocked Algieri down twice in the first round and beat easily in the remanding rounds.
He left Algieri with ever lasting eye damage aswell. Provodnikov was robbed imo.

Was there a poll made to justify your statement that says most people agree with you?:nono:
No because Pacquiao fans tend to be very biased on this forum.
Provodnikov is a very dangerous and fun to watch fighter who's also very limited. If Tim Bradley hadn't been all depressed and pissed off and overlooked Ruslan and then try and fight him toe to toe, we wouldn't even be talking about Provodnikov. He'd still be an occassional ESPN fighter.
Ruslan's single biggest problem is that he has a weak promoter. Peullo depends on other promoters to get his guys fights (thanks for pissing away the career of Pirog, Artie you f*ck). If Provodnikov was a TR or GB fighter, they would've built him up with the right fights and not risk him against unheralded pure boxers.
didnt roach say in between the later rounds we need a ko to win?!
cant remember well but if thats the case then end thread!!!
Freddie said exactly that.
After the fight was done, I remember thinking Provo won and convincingly. I have watched it a few times after and I still think he won. Algieri is a piece of **** thief... Had that fight taken place outside his HOMETOWN, he would have lost. I hope Pacquiao annihilates him worse than he did Margarito.
I feel the exact same way, can't believe this bum Algieri got a shot at Pacquiao. It's pathetic
Top Rank bought and paid.......

Provodnikov would have been in line tk fight Pacroid IF he would have won that fight and no way TR is going to allow that fight to happen. Pacroid would get destroyed by that guy a d they know it. Pacroid is being milked for everything they can get out of this juicer. ....
Provodnikov won Rounds 1 and 2, disappeared for a long stretch of the fight after that, and then maybe won another late round (11th or 12th, but that's about it).
The eye looked like hell, but it still doesn't change the reality that Algieri, pretty easily, boxed his way to winning 9 rounds.
Provodnikov should train with Robert Garcia, maybe that way he'll move his head more and jab his way in.
Plus his weigh ins will be more dramatic after he misses the first time.

Well that's because you are a casual fan and don't know any better.

I scored it the same as the two judges that ruled for Algieri, 114-112. Don't let the 2 knockdowns and the swollen eye fool you, Algieri won the majority of rounds from 2-12. Remember JMM got knocked down 3 times in the first Pacquiao fight and fought his way back to a draw. The 2 knockdowns made it close, in terms of the scoring, but in terms of rounds won, it was blowout in favor of Algieri.
after rewatching this fight I don't know how pacquiao fans can even try and justify his picking of this guy, embarassing
Floyd fan bringing up cherry picked fights ........ funny stuff! Now that is embarrassing! :lol1:
Ruslan looked lethargic and bored by Algieris in-fight antics.
Ruslan openly admitted, he's not good with runners. He just wants to fight.
He's not fast, he's not twinkle toe'd like Algieri. He's not a very good Amatuer style boxer type like Mayweather and Algieri, etc. he hasn't mastered that style that banks rounds in the bag.
He's a fighter, a throw back type like Lamotta, and Duran.
Throwing more, landing more, controlling tempo and controlling pace doesn't equate to running brother. It means beating as$.
