Now that he's strapped a belt to his waste and a target on his back Uncle Al has wrangled Jermain into a position to get one last pay day.
But here's the thing, given his increasing erratic behaviour and his history of bleeding on the brain, not to mention how god awful he looks in the ring, no top fighter in the division will gain any Kudos from taking his title.
So my questions are these:
Given that Haymon is gonna keep the title in house, who's Taylor's most likely next opponent?
What boxers (if any) would you lose respect for if they went after him?
And finally, what level of opponent would get a pass for going after his belt?
Compared to Rosado: Quillin is 3 years older, became pro 7 months earlier, and only has one more fight...WTF? Quillin has truly been moving at a snail's pace.
I think a smart and defensively responsible Rosado will make Lemieux look silly. Rosado has gone more rounds, faced the better competition, and has had his chin tested. I don't think it's an upset if he wins.
It's a 50/50 fight IMO
Interesting to see if rosado's face holds ups and he doesn't get stopped on cuts
I take him as the kind of guy who's actually learning with each fight too
He says he's strong at MW, I give him a great shot at upsetting Lemeuix

Crazy, right? Rosado is proving that hard work + risk-taking + a little luck does pay off in the long run.

I'll laugh if it does get off. I can't think of anybody they could put on that undercard to help him unless it's Danny jacobs or something.
He's been "building" on undercards for two years though and still hasn't come close to headlining. Shoot, Rosado is headlining in Barclay's against a Canadian way before Quillin has

They'll use Taylor's legacy to sell the fight. They just have to put together a solid under-card.

Titles were devalued a long time a go.. I don't see how Taylor having one is any different than the other million papers champs over the last 25 years..
Come on man...stop Jermain Taylor is brain dead and getting pimped right now...it is sad, very sad..he is one hard hit away from a coma
Big thumbs up, larry keeping it real. Dude is as washed up as RJJ :lol1:
I wouldn't lose any respect for the opponent. If Taylor and his team are deluded enough to think he's operating similar to when he was in his prime, then they deserve whatever happens. I'm hoping that N'Dam is the one to take it off him, but it will probably be Quillin. PQ/Taylor wouldn't surprise me, seeing as how Quillin already fought an ancient Winky. They'd be able to sell that as a SHO main event.
Don't even think that makes main event status
He's already a better champion than ggg
