Believe it or not I hear more people talking about that sh*tty MMA than Boxing.
So what steps are needed to save Boxing from becoming a dying sport if it isn't already?
Give your thoughtful opinions.
:boxing:
Other than Bob looking different and practicing a different religion than Haymon they both have put on crap fights and crap cards. we never had to get rid of Bob when he made crap fights-yet you and other NSB posters want to get rid of Haymon. why?
Why not get rid of both? You have been sporting an Al Haymon avi(my god that was embarrassing) forever so we know what you're about anyway.:nonono:
This year has been a huge disappointment as a boxing fan.. The only positive was Froch/Groves 2.
Anyway, get rid of Al Haymen and stop making fights like Garcia vs Salka.
When you have more people tuning in to Garcia/Salka farce than Porter vs Brook you may thinks its the fans too who're to blame.

talk to em dunn,
some people bringing up mma like its good, its terrible, watching 2 grown men lie on top of each other on the ground
I don't like MMA at all. As for its business model-its not as great as everyone may think. That said, Dana is able to make big fights at his leisure.

Floyd's retirement and hopefully his exit from the sport altogether would be the single biggest shot in the arm the sport could recieve. Al Haymon leaving would also be massive.
1. Take away corruption that is currently legal: No step aside fees, using influence to get ranking with sanctioning bodies, etc.
2. Outlaw "advisers". You are either a manager or not, and if you are a manager you have to play by manager's rules.
3. Every year there should be 3 matchups that get voted by a committee of people that actually care about boxing and can't be bought, meaning that the top 3 possible fights voted on have to be made for the following year or else the fighters and their representatives are suspended for a significant time period. If the two sides try to negotiate but can't come to an agreement for the fight, and arbitrator irons out the specifics and the fight is made.
Yeah I'm dreaming.
That's because boxers are independent contractors and MMA fighters are employees of a company.

Yes but 2 of their best. Silva and Weidman are open to fighting for the 3rd time while 2 of boxing's best (atm) Mayweather and Pacquiao are yet to fight after all these years.
really sums it up, and you don't see Garcia vs Salka type matches get made there.
I really hate MMA, but boxing needs to learn few things from it tbh.
more people kno may and pac than those 2 you mentioned

I think fighters shouldn't have the rights to pick and choose their 'opponents' It should be a job of boxing authorities and opponents should be based on ranking system.
