ANTHONY JOSHUA is blowing away far more experienced rivals for fun, yet Britain's brightest heavyweight hope believes he only deserves a miserly one out of 10 for what he has achieved so far.
A staggering first year as a pro has seen the Watford man chalk up nine stoppage wins all inside three rounds - veteran Russian Denis Bakhtov the latest to feel Joshua's full force on Saturday night when he was blasted out in four minutes at London's 02 Arena.
That landed Joshua's first pro title, the vacant WBC International belt. But, despite the rapid progress he has made since winning Olympic gold in London 2012 - after taking a year out - Joshua remains his own biggest critic.

Yeah. I'm good with this kid. He looks to have real potential, but seems to be staying pretty grounded - I wish him every kinda luck in the future.
yea,,,he's an easy guy to root for. glad to see his handlers seem to be moving him along the right way. I think he has a great future in boxing
AJ's feet are firmly on the ground, the guy's a dude and I think he'll make us proud in the next few years. And by "us" I mean boxing fans in general, not just here in the UK.
Bakhtov didn't fold as well. He might have taken a battering for 12 rounds if the ref let it go on.
But nice attitude and Sprott should be a good next opponent. Not surre he will be durable at this stage of his career, but he has experience for sure.
Joshua seems to be one of the most respectable prospects to have emerged.
Certainly compared to his counterpart Wilder.
His level of opposition already has elevated to Wilder's which is amusing considering he's had less than a third of the career.
And he seems to be DISMISSING the hype rather than building it. Interesting strategy...
Gaining fans through being humble while working his way to the top by beating credible journeymen.
Who would have figured THAT would be a recipe for success :lol1:
Good luck Joshua, hope he beats his way to the top!
I know he's fighting low level cheque collectors but his attitude and patience sided with his respect for the sport shows what great character this chap has.
Wish him all the best in the future, modesty shows his willingness to learn more and be better.
